Big Show On If WrestleMania Match Against Shaq Is Still In The Works

The match between Big Show and Shaquille O'Neal has been teased for a number of years. In July of 2009, when Shaq was a guest host on Raw, he and Big Show had a staredown, which led to both shoving and choking each other. In the end, Shaq used the help of Cryme Tyme to pounce Show out of the ring.

The two met again during the Andre the Giant Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32. Kane tried to chokeslam both of them simultaneously, but got double-chokeslammed instead. Throughout 2016, both Shaq and Big Show released videos of how they are preparing themselves for their showdown at WrestleMania 33. However, despite even WWE teasing it on the website, the match never happened.

TMZ recently caught up with Big Show to see if the match is still on the books. This time, the former WWE Champion did not sound as optimistic, as seen in the video above.

"No, I doubt it [is going to happen]," said Big Show. "It probably should have happened a long time ago, and it didn't. Shaq's a great dude. Who knows, hopefully, we'll do something together down the road, do something else... He's busy, I was busy. You know, you get a superstar like Shaq, who is doing so many things where it's hard to nail him down for the time to get things done. But, I have a lot of respect for him, and look forward to doing with him down the road."
