Donald Trump Called WWE To Check In On Vince McMahon After Limo Explosion Angle, Katie Vick Note
Deadspin and the New York Daily News published stories today about an old 2008 Triple H interview on the Opie and Anthony Show that is going viral. In that interview, Triple H discussed the 2007 storyline where Vince McMahon was blown up in a limousine. The angle was cut short after WWE planned a funeral for Vince on the June 25, 2007 episode of RAW, however news broke that day of the Chris Benoit double murder-suicide.
At the time of the angle, many people actually wondered if it was real. Triple H revealed during the Opie and Anthony Show that President-elect Donald Trump apparently fell into that category.
"What kills me is so many people [believed it]," Triple H said. "I'm not kidding you, Trump called and was like, 'Did something happen to Vince?'"
During the interview, Triple H also discussed the infamous Katie Vick angle, which saw The Game have simulated sex with a corpse in a funeral home. He revealed that the scene was filmed at an actual funeral home, and there was a funeral taking place in the room next door while they were filming.
"Vince is yelling at me, 'goddammit, do it harder! Make more noise and stuff, it's gotta be over the top!'," Triple H said. "There's a funeral in the next room. The funeral director opens the door and sticks his head in. I look back, I've got this Kane mask on, I'm buck naked. [I was like] 'How ya doin'? Good to see you.'"
