Backstage Note On Cody Rhodes And Goldust, Eden Says She's Proud Of Husband After Requesting Release
As noted, Cody Rhodes revealed on his personal Twitter account that he has requested his release from WWE. Below are his tweets:

This may be unrelated but PWInsider reports that Cody and brother Goldust left Tuesday's WWE SmackDown tapings before they began filming.
Cody's wife Brandi, known to WWE fans as Eden, has been teasing big news and career happenings on her Twitter for several weeks now. She re-tweeted supportive comments from Stephen Amell earlier today but also wrote the following, an apparent reference to her husband's announcement:
