Audio Of Hulk Hogan's Racially Charged Rant Surfaces
Just a month after WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was awarded a $115 million judgment against Gawker for releasing a sex tape without his permission, the racially-charged rant from the tape that got him fired has surfaced.
David Bixenspan and Maria Bustillos of Death and Taxes Magazine have uncovered the nearly-90 second rant, which you can hear at this link. The rant, which got Hogan fired by WWE last year, has him explaining that he's racist 'to a point.'
The audio is in rough shape, and some of it was redacted, but you can make out what Hogan was saying in some parts including the following quote:
"So it gets to the point where?I dunno if Brooke was f–king the black guy's son, or they've been hanging out. I caught them holding hands together on the tour. They were getting close to kind of [inaudible] the f–king [inaudible]. I'm not a double standard type of guy. I'm a racist to a point, y'know, f–king n–ers, but then, when it comes to nice people and [redacted]."
He later said, "If we're gonna f–k with n—ers, let's get a rich one!"
Hulk Hogan fought hard for the public to not hear the tapes, which ended up having him yanked from his spot as a judge on WWE Tough Enough. The audio was recorded nine years ago when Hogan slept with then-friend Bubba Clem's wife Heather, at the urging of Bubba.
