Main Card

Max Holloway (#5) vs. Jeremy Stephens (#8)
Round 1:
Both men feel each other out for the first couple of minutes, trading the occasional kick. Holloway gets pushed against the cage, but breaks free and leg kicks Stephens.

Round 2: Holloway throws a counter right and gets pushed against the cage again. This is an incredibly uneventful fight through the first two rounds. Little to nothing happening outside of an occasional kick.

Round 3: Holloway takes Stephens down and delivers a couple of knees before taking the back. Holloway tries a rear naked choke, but isn't in a good position and has to give it up. Back on the feet Hollowasy lands a couple of straights, but Stephens answers. Stephens goes for a takedown, but eats a spinning elbow and a hook. The two slug it out to end the fight.

Max Holloway just keeps winning. This wasn't good until the last round, but it'll be a long time before he can get a title shot with Edgar in front of him.

Demian Maia (#6) vs. Gunnar Nelson (#11)
Round 1:
Nelson takes Maia down, but Maia gets back up to his feet and throws a knee. Nelson trips Maia, but Maia gets up, takes Nelson's back. Nelson rolls through to guard and ends up getting mounted. Maia lands strikes from the back and with a body triangle locked on. Maia rolls for an armbar, but Nelson uses the hitchhiker escape to get out.

Round 2: Nelson with a quick takedown, but Maia grabs a waistlock. Nelson keeps grabbing the cage, but Big John McCarthy pulls his hand out. Maia applies another body triangle from the back and throws a ton of punches. Maia takes mount and elbows Nelson's head.

Round 3: Maia puts Nelson on his back quickly, and slugs Nelson with big elbows. Maia finishes the round pounding away at Nelson from the back with the arm triangle. This is pure dominance.

Demian Maia may fight until he's 70 years old. That was incredibly impressive. The next three fights should be guano crazy. If it goes past round 1, Jacare should have an advantage.

Yoel Romero (#3) vs. Jacare Souza (#2)
Round 1: Romero is light on his feet, but Souza hunts him down. Romero lands a front kick to the body, and clubs Souza with a spinning back fist that drops him. Souza wants Romero on the ground, and is obliged. Romero scores elbows and punches. Souza goes for a couple of armbars, but Romero escapes and Souza is turtled up.

Round 2: Romero shucks off a takedown, but Jacare shoots a low single back in. Romero holds on to the cage and ends up in top position, but the ref restarts it and warns Romero. A little back and forth, but nothing substantial. After the round, Romero's corner pours water all over him, which isn't allowed.

Round 3: Souza almost lands a front kick, but can't score a takedown early on. Souza slugs Romero against the cage with some really good strikes before taking him down into half-guard. Souza turks the leg of Romero and swings away at Romero with elbows and punches. Romero gets back up to end the round, but too late.

That was a close fight, but almost nothing happened in that second round, so it could have went either way. Hard to believe Romero would beat Weidman or Rockhold.

UFC Middleweight Championship
Chris Weidman (c) vs. Luke Rockhold (#1)
Round 1: Rockhold swings wildly and Weidman takes his back. Rockhold shakes Weidman off after a minute, and eats some knees to the body. Weidman uses an elbow to set up a takedown. Rockhold gets back up, but is welcomed by another Weidman elbow. Rockhold pulls a guillotine, but Weidman is in side control, so there's not much danger. The fight gets stood up and Rockhold pulls another guillotine, but no dice.

Round 2: Rockhold drops Weidman with a punch, then lands a liver kick. A couple of head kicks and a body kick score for Rockhold. Both men are breathing unusually heavy for round 2. Weidman finds success with a body kick as well. Weidman hurts Rockhold with a body kick, but Luke survives.

Round 3: Weidman opens with body kicks and a beautiful punch combo that leads to Rockhold getting taken down. Rockhold gets up, and it's body kick city from both men again. Weidman goes for a spinning kick and Rockhold looks pretty unhappy with that, and takes Weidman down for the first time in his MMA career. Rockhold gets mount and destroys him with punches and elbows. Wow. That should have been stopped. 10-8 round.

Wrestling Inc scores the round 10-8 for Luke Rockhold

Round 4: Weidman egregiously holds the cage to prevent a takedown, but Rockhold gets it anyway. Rockhold works from the top, and Herb Dean stops it! New champion!

Official Result: Luke Rockhold defeats Chris Weidman via TKO (ground and pound), Round 4, 3:12 to become the new UFC Middleweight Championship

That was a fantastic fight. Chris Weidman is going to be regretting that spin kick for a long time. As weird as it sounds, neither one of those guys looked like they were at their best. Rockhold says he's been battling a staph infection.

It's time for the main event! Conor McGregor! Jose Aldo! Title unification!

Round 1: McGregor throws a couple of punches. Immediate KO! McGregor wins!!!

Aldo doesn't know what happened. McGregor puts Aldo over in the cage
