Rey Mysterio Says He'd Return To WWE On A Part-Time Basis

Rey Mysterio is among the most high-profile free agents in pro wrestling at a time when the WWE is needing stars. The WWE's rough position led to them re-signing former world champion Alberto Del Rio recently, but could Mysterio be next?

Mysterio spoke to WrestleTalk TV about possibly returning to the WWE. Mysterio left the company in February after his contract expired. Mysterio told the hosts that while the money is good in WWE, he missed his family.

"Never say never, but I'm very pleased and happy where I'm at. I'm enjoying life at my fullest. Sometimes you realize that money isn't everything. I made good money at WWE and traveled the world, and interacted with my fans, but I missed a lot of family time. That really hits me," Mysterio said.

Mysterio wasn't ready to write off a potential return to WWE, however. He said that a part-time deal could lure him back to the company.

"My son is 18, almost going to college. My daughter is going to be 15 next year, and she's growing up fast. If the opportunity came, and it wasn't too committed, why not?," Rey said.

Mysterio also elaborated on his decision to leave, saying that he needed to heal up, which he claims that he's done.

"Yes, I wanted that time, and I wanted to heal up. It's not even been a year, and I feel great, When you're in WWE, it's a part of that contract signing, that grind. You're on-call 24-7. That's why you become the star that you are.
