WWE Confirms Rusev's Injury, Provides Timetable For His Return
WWE has issued the following statement on the previously reported injury of former U.S. Champion Rusev, which took place at this week's WWE Main Event television tapings.
Rusev sustained a proximal bicep tendon rupture during his match with Neville at the WWE Main Event tapings Tuesday night, WWE.com can confirm. The match was called due to the injury, and the former U.S. Champion's recovery time is currently slated at three to four weeks.
While it is possible Rusev could return to action in time should his recovery go better than expected, it is unlikely he will be wrestling at this year's WWE Survivor Series PPV on November 22nd.
