Backstage News On Vince McMahon Changing Brock Lesnar And Undertaker WrestleMania Plans

As noted, the scheduled Brock Lesnar vs. Undertaker match at next month's WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view was originally scheduled for WrestleMania 32.

Dave Meltzer noted on the most recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required) that Taker vs. Lesnar was scheduled to be one of the two WrestleMania main events, but those plans changed in the last couple of weeks. It was noted that Vince McMahon changed his mind and decided to blow off the match at Hell In A Cell, although it's not known why Vince changed his mind.

Meltzer stated that Lesnar's appearances and programs are usually laid out well in advance due to his price tag, however that is not the case for this situation. Lesnar's match at Hell In A Cell, as well as his appearance on RAW the Monday before, are in addition to his current contract, so he will be making a lot more than just his current deal.

Meltzer later noted that he does not know who Lesnar will be facing at WrestleMania, but he doesn't expect him to be facing Steve Austin, although Meltzer wouldn't completely rule it out. He also said that Lesnar wouldn't be facing The Undertaker or The Rock either, and stated that a potential Rock vs. Lesnar WrestleMania match "is not in the cards."
