Steve Austin Talks Donald Trump Taking The Stunner At WrestleMania 23, Working With Trump
On the latest episode of The Steve Austin Show, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin talked about working with Donald Trump at WrestleMania 23 in the "Battle of the Billionaires" hair vs. hair match between Bobby Lashley with Trump and Umaga with Vince McMahon and Austin acting as special guest referee.
According to Austin, Trump was not originally booked to take the Stone Cold Stunner, but McMahon put Trump on the spot by asking whether Trump would take the Stunner shortly before the match was to begin.
"And, boy, right then, Donald Trump's number one advisor, his right hand guy at the time, gave him every single reason why he does not need to take the Stunner: 'hey, man, this is not a good idea; you don't need to do it; you're doing enough by being here.' Donald looked at Vince and he goes, 'sure, I'll take it.'"
Austin said he briefly explained how to do the Stunner to Trump before the match and the rest is WrestleMania history.

While Austin described the Stunner on Trump as one of the worst Stunners he's ever done, he indicated that he always had respect for Trump for taking the Stunner.
"He was a standup guy to me and I always appreciated him taking that bump because he didn't have to," Austin said.
In addition to talking about Trump's involvement at WrestleMania 23, Austin talked about whether his career would have been as successful if he had a full head of hair, whether Austin's health is better today because he retired early, and many other topics.
