UFC Officially Announces Huge Title Fight, Conor McGregor TUF Promo
Just one month after Conor McGregor captured the UFC Interim Featherweight Championship, the company has announced his huge title unification bout with Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo.
According to Yahoo Sports, the bout will take place on December 12 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand. The fight will likely headline the UFC 194 card, although a UFC Fight Night on Fox Sports 1 is currently scheduled for that date. December 5 was the original UFC 194 date, but had to be moved due to an Andrea Bocelli concert at the MGM
The UFC had contemplated putting the fight in AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, but company president Dana White said they decided against it.
"If you would have asked me, I would have told you for sure we were going to Dallas Cowboys Stadium," White said to Yahoo.
Also, White had previously speculated that a planned Ronda Rousey – Miesha Tate bout could take place on the card, which no longer appears to be in the cards.

"That fight isn't going to be on the (Aldo vs. McGregor) card, for sure. If we were going to go to Dallas Cowboys Stadium, that's another story, but the MGM really wanted the fight and they made a huge effort for it and they got it. And it works out better for us to be in Las Vegas," White said.
McGregor and Aldo were set to clash at UFC 189, but Aldo was sidelined with a rib injury. McGregor went on to defeat replacement Chad Mendes. The war of words hasn't stopped between the two since then.
McGregor will also serve as a coach on the new season of The Ultimate Fighter against Urijah Faber, although the two aren't set to fight. You can see a promo for the season above.
