- The UFC has released the second episode of UFC Fight Night Chicago Embedded in promotion of their big, free fight card this Saturday on Fox. - Suspended UFC fighter Wanderlei Silva has had a highly publicized feud with UFC since his suspension after ducking out on a drug test last year. In a post released this week, Silva made a heinous accusation of the UFC fixing fights.
"We are getting organized and soon I'll have news for my brothers in the ring. This will not stand!," Silva said. "Some have tried to buy me, but I am not, nor have I ever been for sale. And I will fight to the end, to unmask these promoters, who are deceiving the public, cheating, and taking the dignity and the honor from our sport! This is turning a pro-wrestling show with fixed fights. We have to stop these guys because that's the end of the line for us!"
Fixing fights is a huge risk for a promoter, fighters, and the athletic commissions involved. To date, no evidence of fight fixing has been found in the UFC since Zuffa took over the company in 2001.
- Monster Factory released a video this week of WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco wrestling with former UFC fighter and Monster Factory trainee Matt Riddle. You can see the video below.
