Billy Corgan Responds To TNA Cancellation Reports, Says Dave Meltzer Being Worked By "Sloppy Angle"
As noted, Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer that Destination America has canceled TNA. You can read Meltzer's full, detailed report in The Wrestling Observer (subscription required) by clicking here.
Meltzer noted that the cancellation was announced to key employees before Destination America made the decision to move Impact Wrestling to Wednesdays and that the story "is very much ongoing." Because the cancellation was announced before the move to Wednesdays, the cancellation isn't definite, although he noted that it wasn't a good sign that people at the station haven't been told anything new since being informed of the cancellation.
Former ECW star Lou "Sign Guy Dudley" D'Angeli took to this Twitter to address fans celebrating the news, writing:
Wrestling biz needs places for the boys to work, learn, & get exposure. Loosing a TV deal is not something people should be gloating about!

Billy Corgan replied to D'Angeli and indicated that Meltzer was being worked by "a sloppy angle":
@ldangeli It wouldn't be so bad if the whole truth was being reported and the person reporting wasn't being worked himself by a sloppy angle

AND let's remember that I speak from experience, having had things written about me by Meltzer that he never got a statement from me about

It should be noted that no officials from TNA or Destination America have publicly come out to deny that the station cancelled TNA.
