Manny Pacquiao Getting Sued, UFC Fighter Says MMA Is Bigger Than Boxing, Huge Grappling Event

- A San Diego Lawyer, Abbas Kazerounian is attempting to sue Manny Pacquiao and Top Rank boxing after the fighter said he went into his bout last weekend with Floyd Mayweather with a torn rotator cuff. The fans claim that Pacquiao and the company defrauded viewers by saying that he was healthy.

It's also worth noting that if Pacquiao is injured, he lied to the Nevada State Athletic Commission prior to the fight by refusing to disclose the injury. Pacquiao had surgery on his shoulder this week.

- Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos added fuel to the boxing vs. MMA fire after watching the huge Mayweather vs. Pacquiao show this week. Despite the huge attention the fight got, JDS told Ariel Helwani he thinks MMA is bigger.

"When I can I watch it because I love boxing, I really like to watch a boxing fight, but it's hard to be watching, especially here in Brazil. When I can, for sure I watch it," he said. "For sure, the UFC and MMA became way bigger than boxing. Of course, the athletes in boxing make a lot of money, that's the biggest difference. For sure, we are as famous as they are. We are bigger than boxing now."

- Metamoris will run their sixth event this weekend, and feature several big names from MMA in their grappling event. Former UFC Heavyweight champion Josh Barnett will use his catch-wrestling base to take on the Brazilian jiujitsu based Ryrion Gracie in a heavyweight title fight, and Chael Sonnen will also compete against former UFC fighter Renato "Babalu Sobral." Joe Lauzon and Jeff Monson will be on the show as well.

Metamoris is a grappling show promoted by the Gracie family. The athletes compete in 20 minute matches with no points given. If fights don't end in a submission, the competition is deemed a draw.
