Dana White Talks More About Brock Lesnar To The UFC, If Lesnar Would Sign With The Competition

As noted earlier, UFC President Dana White stated at a press conference earlier this week that Brock Lesnar is interested in returning to the UFC.

"Brock Lesnar's under contract with the WWE. We have a great relationship with him. He's healthy and he has said that he's interested in fighting again," White stated (props to FOX Sports for the transcription). "We'll see what happens."

White appeared on TSN's Off The Record yesterday and was asked about possibly signing Lesnar, whose current WWE contract expires days after WrestleMania 31. White noted that he would like to have Lesnar back in the UFC, but that the decision ultimately lies with Brock.

"If he's ready he'll come back, if he's not he won't," White said. "He was huge for us, but it's not like, 'oh my God, we have to get Brock Lesnar back!' This is fighting, you have to want to fight, you have to want to do it. If Brock wants to come back, I have a great relationship with him and the door's open for him. If he doesn't, I wish him the best."

There has been speculation that UFC's main competition, Bellator MMA, may be interested in signing Lesnar when his WWE contract is up. Spike TV has shown a reinvigorated interest in Bellator, and is willing to put their money behind it. A Lesnar – Bobby Lashley fight or a one-sided Lesnar – Kimbo Slice squash fest all of a sudden doesn't seem so far fetched. However, White believes that if Lesnar fights again, it will be in the UFC.

"Brock wouldn't go to Bellator," said White. "Brock wants to fight the best guys in the world. The best guys in the world are here."
