Triple H Talks Rivalry With The Rock, What Rock Told Him At WrestleMania 30

WWE COO Triple H recently had a two-part interview with Chris Jericho on the Talk is Jericho podcast and opened up about his history and relationship with The Rock.

Both Triple H and The Rock were instrumental characters during the WWE's iconic "attitude era," but according to Triple H, they didn't always see eye to eye.

"He and I got along, but we never got ALONG. We worked together for like 5 or 6 years but from Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Rocky Maivia all the way through to the Nation and DX all the way through to everything until he left, as competitive as competitive as he could possibly be that whole way," Triple H said about the two and their competitive nature.

Helmsley said that even though the Rock hasn't been a full-time performer in over a decade, the two still share a heightened sense of competition.

"(The Rock) tweets those things out like 'Doing cardio 4 am, time to go, no excuses' and in my mind, if he can do it, I'm gonna get up at 4," Triple H told The Rock when they spoke at WrestleMania 30.

"It's so funny, when you tweet something, I feel the same way," Rock replied.

Triple H also noted that The Rock said that he feels the same way when Triple H tweets his workout progress, showing that the two still have a healthy rivalry.

Jericho and Triple H also spoke about how Vince McMahon always encouraged the performers to have fire and competition as it pertained to their rivals.
