Dana White Says Brock Lesnar Almost Returned To UFC After Signing With WWE Last Year
UFC President Dana White reveals that Brock Lesnar almost returned to UFC in 2012, for a superfight against Fedor Emelianenko that would have taken place at Cowboys Stadium in Texas.
During a media scrum following last night's UFC On FOX post-fight press conference, Dana said (props to MMAJunkie for the transcription), "Remember when I met with Lesnar and said it didn't go well? It actually went well. It went well, and Brock wanted to fight Fedor. Then (Fedor's) dad died, and he was done... After his dad died and he said he was done or whatever, Brock said, 'I'm done, too.'"
Regarding Lesnar's future, White doesn't believe he will be back in UFC.
"From what I understand, he is absolutely, positive made the decision not to fight ever again... he's going to do his stint in the WWE and then go away," White said. "He's got a big farm up in Canada. He loves to farm and he loves to be with his family out in the middle of nowhere."
