WWE Live Event Results From Nashville (3/25) - Lawler Vs. Cole, Sheamus Vs. Henry & More
Thanks to WrestlingINC.com reader Jeremy Mueller for sending in these results from tonight's SmackDown live event in Nashville, TN:
The Great Khali defeated Jinder Mahal in a short match.
Hunico w/ Camacho defeated Tyson Kidd. Pretty good match with a lot of high flying and acrobatic moves.
Drew McIntyre defeated Ezekiel Jackson. Cody Rhodes then came out and hit Jackson with Cross-Rhodes. Rhodes then took the mic and mentioned his 231 day title reign.
Jerry Lawler defeated Michael Cole in a Nashville Street Fight. Cole went on a rant for 10 minutes. He wore his orange wrestling suit that he sported on multiple occasions last year. Lawler wore blue jeans and cowboy boots. Lawler took the mic to remind us of last year's matches between the two. Cole then called Hunico and Camacho to ringside for backup. Hunico and Camacho interfered early and often until The Great Khali came out to even the odds and help Lawler get the win. The "Street Fight" never left the ring.
Sheamus defeated Mark Henry. It was announced that Henry is the newest member of International Sports Hall of Fame. Sheamus won with the Brogue kick. Sheamus was fan friendly on the way out, and signed autographs and took pics.
Beth Phoenix & Natalya defeated vs. Alicia Fox & Tamina Snuka
WWE Intercontinental Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) defeated Justin Gabriel. Gabriel pulled off three great moves and got a two count every time. Rhodes eventually got the win.
World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match: Daniel Bryan defeated Randy Orton and The Big Show. Orton was the fan favorite, and Bryan was booed heavily. Orton and Show took turns beating up on Bryan early. At one point, Bryan kissed Show's feet. This match dragged at times until Cody Rhodes came out and grabbed Show's attention. Orton RKO'd Show and Bryan threw Orton out of the ring and pinned Show to retain the title.
The night ended with Orton hitting Bryan with an RKO and Show chokeslammed Rhodes. Orton then spent 10 to 15 mins signing autographs and taking pics.
