Wrestling Entrances That Were A Total Flop

While fans loved his original theme music, “Burn In My Light,” Randy Orton said, “I hated it from the first day I heard it.” On a 2006 episode of “SmackDown,” WWE changed it to “This Fire Burns,” pairing a clean-cut Randy Orton with grunge-sounding music, but it was changed back two weeks later.

At AEW Revolution 2020, Cody Rhodes’ entrance overshadowed his match with Maxwell Jacob Friedman, with many fans mocking his new neck tattoo and his band’s not-so-great performance. Both topics distracted the entire show, focusing on Cody Rhodes’ bizarre entrance instead of MJF’s big win.

X-Factor never seemed destined for huge success in the WWF, but wrestling fans still mock their entrance music to this day. Performed by Uncle Kracker, it starts as a boy-band ballad, then transitions into a rap or hip-hop monstrosity, which was odd and certainly didn’t do the team any favors.

As solo acts, both Chris Jericho and The Big Show had great themes, but when their music was mashed together, it became one of the worst tag team entrance songs of all time. It stuck with Jeri-Show for a few months until WWE thankfully commissioned new music.

Double or Nothing 2019 was AEWs first-ever official pay-per-view. When Cody Rhodes took a sledgehammer to a Triple H-stylized throne during his entrance, some felt it was an unnecessary shot at WWE and compared it to a TNA move.
