Times Hulk Hogan Got Caught Lying

A Role in The Wrestler
Hulk Hogan claimed that he was offered Mickey Rourke's lead role in the 2008 movie "The Wrestler" three times, but he turned it down. However, director Darren Aronofsky refuted Hogan's claims, saying, "the role of the wrestler was always @mickeyrourke it was never hulk hogan's as he claims."
Asked to Join Metallica
The Hulkster once said, "I was big pals with Lars Ulrich and he asked me if I wanted to play bass with Metallica in their early days." Ulrich, the co-founder of Metallica denied all of the claims, adding, "I don't know Hulk Hogan [...] I certainly have no recollection of doing anything with quote Hulk Hogan endquote."
Seeing KO's Potential
In 2015, Hogan claimed that he was the first person to see Kevin Owen as "The Guy," but as Owens started wrestling in 2000, there's no way that Hogan discovered him. By 2015, Owens' potential was well-known in the wrestling circle, and he had already built a cult following among many fans.
Flying With Kerry
Hogan claimed that he shared a flight with Kerry Von Erich to Japan just 72 hours before he took his own life in 1993. However, there are no records of Erich or Hogan traveling to Japan in the days before Erich's death, and given the drug possession charges he was facing, it's unlikely that Erich would have left home.
Fighting the Pride Fighters
In 2011, Hogan said he fought many Pride Fighters during his time in Japan in 1977. This is yet another inaccurate claim because Pride, a Japanese MMA company, was first established in 1997, 20 years after Hogan's claim of 1977, and as Hogan's first Japan tour happened in 1980, he was never even in Japan in 1977.
