12. Tomasso Ciampa
After repeated defeats at the hands of the Authors of Pain, the team of Tomasso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano imploded. Following “NXT TakeOver: Chicago,” Ciampa whispered to Johnny, “It's my moment,” and slammed his long-time friend headfirst into the entrance set’s LED boards, and continued his beatdown as the crowd rained boos and jeers.
11. Austin Idol
In 1987, when Jerry Lawler clashed with Austin Idol for the American Wrestling Association’s Southern Heavyweight title in a hair versus hair steel-cage title match, Idol’s ally Tommy Rich interfered and helped Idol pick up the win. The duo then proceeded to batter Lawler and shave his head, to the disgust of the Coliseum crowd.
10. Kevin Steen
Kevin Steen’s most iconic heel turn on his supposed best friend El Generico was at Final Battle 2009. Steen finally snapped following a loss to the Young Bucks, looked Generico in the eyes to say, “I hate your f****** guts,” and then battered his now-former friend with a steel chair.
9. Prince Devitt
Being unsatisfied with his career trajectory and following a loss against the Time Splitters, NJPW’s Prince Devitt attacked his Apollo 55 tag team partner Ryusuke Taguchi and aligned himself with Bad Luck Fale. The duo was quickly joined by "The Machine Gun" Karl Anderson and the ruthless Tama Tonga to form Bullet Club.
8. Breakup of The Rockers
Shawn Michaels used to be one-half of the Rockers with Marty Jannetty, but by 1991, WWF wanted the team to split up. Thus, during Brutus Brutus Beefcake's Barbershop segment, Michaels decked Jannetty with Sweet Chin Music and threw him through the Barbershop’s glass window, thereby breaking up the team.
