Kane And Pete Rose's WWE Rivalry Made For Some Entertaining Moments
By NICK MILLER
If we had to list Kane's major rivalries, his three-year feud with controversial Major League Baseball legend Pete Rose remains unforgettable. When invited to WrestleMania XIV as a guest announcer at the Boston arena, Rose wasted no time in attacking the Boston Red Sox, earning the ire of the fans and "The Big Red Machine."
Immediately afterward, Kane arrived and proceeded to tombstone Rose, aka "Charlie Hustle," to the approval of the Boston crowd. The following year at WrestleMania XV in Philadelphia, Rose tried to ambush Kane disguised as the San Diego Chicken, but he was caught in the act, unmasked, and given yet another tombstone.
At WrestleMania 2000, it seemed Rose had wisened up after two previous encounters with Kane and waited until after his match to make a move. While Kane was distracted, Rose attempted to sneak up behind Kane and attack him with a baseball bat, but he was stopped by Rikishi and given a chokeslam by Kane followed by a stinkface from Rikishi.
