CM Punk
After being terminated from WWE, Punk has documented the troublesome experience in the company, including its backstage politics and demanding lifestyle. Given his tumultuous relationship with Triple H, who Punk says never liked him and tried to get him fired, it's doubtful he'll ever return to a WWE ring.
Colt Cabana
After signing a developmental contract with WWE in 2007, Cabana was treated as an enhancement talent in poorly-scripted comedy promos, in addition to allegedly being the victim of antisemitism. Following his release in 2009, the management ignored his phone calls for a potential return in 2011.
Shane Douglas
Douglas was booked for a match at MSG, but an athletic commission doctor advised against him competing, lest he ended up in a wheelchair, leading to his expulsion from the company. Douglas vowed to never work for McMahon again due to his alleged mistreatment and a pay dispute, and he remains a vocal critic of the company.
Ryback
Ryback walked out before a TV taping due to a contract dispute and also criticized the company’s pay structure. Following his release in 2016, Ryback used his Twitter to take shots at WWE’s management, and he became the subject of controversy after making scathing remarks about Vince McMahon and his recently-deceased mother.
Sofia Cortez
During her time in FCW, Cortez trained under Bill DeMott, where she was allegedly subject to abuse numerous times. Other trainees of DeMott's have spoken up with similar allegations of abuse, leading to his resignation as head trainer of the WWE Performance Center in 2015, though he has denied the allegations.
