Former WWE Star To Debut For MLW Tonight

Buddy Matthews (fka WWE's Buddy Murphy) is set to make his MLW debut at tonight's Blood & Thunder event.

MLW announced today that Matthews will make his debut later tonight at the Blood & Thunder tapings from Gilley's Dallas. There is no word yet on who he will be wrestling.

Matthews was released on June 2 of last year, and since then has worked for NJPW and various indie promotions.

In other news for tonight's Blood & Thunder event, which will include tapings for future MLW Fusion episodes, MLW has announced that 5150 will still defend their MLW World Tag Team Titles in a Texas Tornado Match, but their opponents have not been announced. We noted before that The Von Erichs both tested positive for COVID-19 this week, and were pulled from the title bout.

The MLW Blood & Thunder taping will take place tonight from Gilley's Dallas in North Richland Hills, TX. Below is the updated card:
