WWE SmackDown Results – Tag Team Main Event, Trick Or Street Fight, Charlotte Flair, More

Welcome to our WrestlingINC.com Live WWE SmackDown Viewing Party. Tonight's show comes from the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

- Tonight's WWE SmackDown on FS1 opens up with a video package. We're live from the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania as Michael Cole welcomes us. He's joined at ringside by Michael Cole. They hype tonight's spooky Halloween-themed show with a Trick or Street Fight with Happy Baron Corbin and Madcap Moss vs. Rick Boogs and WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.

- We go right to the ring and out comes SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair to a very mixed reaction. Mike Rome does the introduction, replacing the recently released Greg Hamilton. Flair stops and poses with the title in the air as the pyro explodes. She heads to the ring as fans boo and cheer her on.

Flair says as things change, the more they stay the same. She introduces herself as champion and says what is that, 6 times now? She's not keeping count, taunting the crowd about how no one can do what she does. Flair says she's not the face of SmackDown, she's the face of this whole company. She goes on about her success in the industry and says no one, she means no one, is going to change that. She says when anyone else in the locker room wins a title, it's treated like the biggest thing ever, but when she wins a title, it's treated like just another Friday.

Flair says after last week's drama, order has finally been restored to SmackDown and that's exactly what these women need. They need a mentor, someone to lead and guide them, someone to bring out the best in them, and that's Flair. The music interrupts and out comes Sasha Banks to a pop. Banks poses on the apron as the pyro goes off.

Banks laughs at the idea of Flair being a leader and says no one is buying that. She says Flair only cares about holding the other women down, not helping them. Banks says Flair knows what she wants, so when is her title shot? Flair hushes her and says this is the new era of SmackDown. Fans boo. Flair says it's a little selfish of Banks to think she deserves a title shot because Flair has given her chance after chance but always beats her. Flair talked to Sonya Deville earlier and decided a new face deserves an opportunity. Banks wonders if Flair is scared. The music hits and out comes Shotzi in her TCB (Taking Care of Business) Tank.

Shotzi stops at ringside and says if Flair is looking for someone she's never faced before, then she's the girl. Fans cheer Shotzi on and chant her name now. Flair says Shotzi did come to the ring in a tank, so she must be ready for battle. Flair says Shotzi is going to get her match, right now. Shotzi launches her missile into the ring as Flair stares her down and Banks looks on. Cole confirms that this will be a Championship Contender's match. We go to commercial.

Championship Contender's Match: SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Shotzi

Back from the break and Sasha Banks watches from ringside as SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair goes at it with Shotzi in this non-title Championship Contender's Match. Flair slams Shotzi and controls her. They go back and forth but Shotzi shows Flair up and howls to taunt her. They trade holds on their feet now as fans chant for Shotzi, who is looking to secure a title shot with a win here.

Flair shows off some more and dropkicks Shotzi to the face while she's down. Flair with a "Wooo!" before slamming Shotzi face-first into the turnbuckle. Shotzi mounts some offense with a jawbreaker, a second rope attack and a basement dropkick for 2. Shotzi shows some frustration as Banks barks encouragement from ringside.

Shotzi unloads in the corner now. Flair runs into an elbow in the corner. Shotzi goes to the second rope but Flair takes her leg out and Shotzi lands hard on the back of her head. Flair covers for 2. Flair keeps control but Shotzi rolls her up out of nowhere for a 2 count. Flair comes right back with a clothesline. Flair grounds Shotzi now.

Flair gets sent to the corner and then the apron but she nails a boot to the face. Shotzi with an enziguri and a running senton while Flair is leaning against the ropes. Shotzi goes to the top but Flair rolls to the floor for a breather. Fans boo. Shotzi runs the ropes for a suicide dive but Flair meets her at the ropes with a forearm to the face. Banks comes over and Flair mocks her in her face. Flair turns around to Shotzi going for a suicide dive again but she botches it and barely connects, getting hung up on the ropes and falling out as they both tumble to the floor with an awkward fall in an attempt to salvage it. Shotzi still sits up and howls as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Shotzi is down at ringside as Banks cheers her on. Flair goes to the top for her moonsault but Shotzi runs back in the ring and rocks Flair. Shotzi runs back up to the top and hits a big hurricanrana for a close 2 count. Shotzi dodges a big boot and nails a big right hand. Shotzi goes on but Flair kicks out at 2. Shotzi ends up on the apron but Flair levels her to the floor with a big boot.

Banks barks orders as Shotzi drops Flair at ringside, telling her to bring it back in. Flair kicks out at 2. Flair rolls Shotzi back for a 2 count. Shotzi misses the enziguri and Flair rolls her for the Figure Four but it's blocked for a 2 count. Fair gets hung up on the top rope when going for a big boot. Shotzi slams her with a belly-to-back suplex for a 2 count. Shotzi charges into the corner but Flair catches her with the backbreaker.

Flair goes to the top for the moonsault but has to land on her feet as Shotzi moves it. Flair continues and nails the follow-up moonsault for 2. Flair drops Shotzi with a right hand and then nails Natural Selection for the pin to win.

Winner: Charlotte Flair

- After the match, Flair heads out with her title as a disappointed Banks looks on. Banks enters the ring and checks on Shotzi but Shotzi shoves her to the mat and screams at her, blaming her for the loss. Flair tries to come from behind from the floor but Banks catches her and Flair retreats. Banks turns back around to Shotzi attacking her. Shotzi mounts Banks and beats her up on the mat. Shotzi throws Banks from corner to corner, stomping away and screaming at her. Shotzi runs and dropkicks Banks from the apron to the floor. Shotzi slams Banks head-first into her tank, then launches her into the barrier. Shotzi sends Banks into the front of the tank again as the boos continue. Shotzi brings Banks back into the ring and goes to the top for the Ball Pit senton. Shotzi talks some more trash as the boos continue. Shotzi stands over Banks, howls out, then welcomes her to the Ball Pit.

- Kayla Braxton is backstage with Jeff Hardy. She asks what he's most looking forward to now that he's back on SmackDown. Hardy is pumped to be here and is looking for a fresh start, make some new friends, maybe challenge for a title he's never had before. Happy Baron Corbin and Madcap Moss interrupt. They talk about tonight's Trick or Street Fight and Moss tells a bad Halloween joke. They walk off. Hardy tells Kayla it's good to be back on SmackDown. He shakes his head as Moss and Corbin leave.

- Still to come, details on sanctions being announced against Brock Lesnar. Back to commercial.

- Back from the break and our Progressive-sponsored replay shows what happened at Crown Jewel and last week's SmackDown between Brock Lesnar and The Bloodline. We also see how Lesnar attacked WWE officials and the camera man at ringside, and then attacked Adam Pearce after Pearce suspended him indefinitely. We see Pearce in his office now. He says Lesnar's actions were disgusting, reprehensible and an act of total cowardice. Pearce says he gives every piece of himself to this company and he will not be disrespected. We see Paul Heyman watching Pearce's video from backstage. Pearce says what Lesnar did cannot and will not happen again. Pearce says he called Lesnar today and informed him that in addition to the suspension, Lesnar has been fined $1 million.

Heyman is smiling backstage as Pearce ends his statement. Kayla walks up and asks how he thinks Lesnar is going to respond to the suspension and fine. Heyman brags about WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns smashing Lesnar at Crown Jewel. Kayla asks the question again. Heyman says Lesnar will respond by showing up to WWE HQ and ripping the throats out of everyone, starting with Pearce. Heyman goes on about Pearce and gets fired up when talking about Lesnar. Heyman catches himself and says at least that's how he think Lesnar might respond. He hasn't spoken to Lesnar. Heyman tells Kayla to leave him alone, then walks off.

Open Challenge: Drew McIntyre vs. Mustafa Ali

We go back to the ring and out comes Drew McIntyre to issue an Open Challenge. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and Drew wraps his entrance. He takes the mic and says he's in an ass kicking mood tonight. He proposes the Open Challenge and fans pop. Drew asks who has the testicular fortitude to step up from the locker room and fight him right now. Drew drops the mic and waits. The music interrupts and out comes Mustafa Ali. Ali says he has more athletic talent in his pinky than Drew does in his whole body. Ali says he's quicker, more agile, and when it comes to in-ring talent, Drew doesn't even compare. Fans boo Ali as he enters the ropes. They chant "you suck!" now as Ali says he will be the one to beat Drew tonight.

The bell rings and Ali talks some trash as they face off. Drew grabs him and sends him into the corner but Ali retreats as Drew charges. Ali with a big chop to the chest but it does nothing. Drew chops him to the mat with ease. Ali fights back with a boot and several strikes to daze Drew. Ali charges but Drew catches him in mid-air with the big overhead throw.

Drew launches Ali back into the corner and unloads with kicks. Drew with a huge overhead throw out of the corner. Drew ducks Ali and hits a neckbreaker, then a kip-up for a pop. Drew goes for the Futureshock DDT but it's blocked. Drew gets sent shoulder-first into the ring post.

Ali goes to the top for the 450 but he has to roll through. Drew comes right back with the Claymore Kick but Ali dodges it. Ali goes for a tornado DDT now but Drew overpowers and applies the Kimura Lock for the submission win.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

- After the match, McIntyre makes his exit as the music hits and fans cheer him on. Ali takes the mic and says he has something to get off his chest. Ali says people choose to cheer for Drew, they choose to root against Ali, and the only reason they root against him is because his name is Mustafa Ali. Fans boo louder as Ali drops the mic and walks away.

- We see how King Xavier Woods had his King of the Ring Coronation Ceremony last week with Kofi Kingston. The New Day is walking backstage now when they see Hit Row standing off to the side. Woods welcomes them to his kingdom and to SmackDown, noting how they were impressive in the ring last week. They have some friendly words and Hit Row bows to King Woods, saying "we're not worthy!" like Wayne and Garth. The New Day wants Hit Row to drop some hot bars for the King. They sing "King Woods!" in the tune of their theme song to end the segment.

- We go back to the ring and out comes The New Day – King Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. Woods is about to make Kofi a royal Knight. We go back to commercial.

Back from the break and we get a "coming soon" vignette for Xia Li. We go back to the ring with Woods and Kingston. The King of the Ring throne, apron cover, and scepter are out. There's also a covered podium in the corner. Kofi calls on everyone to listen to the "Creed" of King Woods. Woods introduces himself and Kofi gets a "Hail King Woods!" chant going in the arena. They go on and a "you deserve it!" chant starts up. Woods agrees and says he's done a lot of work to get here, a lot of behind-the-scenes work.

Woods praises Kofi now, for having a true heart and being his most trusted confidant. Woods asks Kofi to drop to one knee. Woods goes on praising Kofi and knights him with the scepter, making him Sir Kofi Kingston with the Order of the Golden Unicorn. Kofi stands back up and has a "Hail to the King" pin put on now. Woods calls on everyone to rejoice and the crowd pops, then chants for The New Day. Out comes SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos to interrupt, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso. They come out to no music. The two teams face off in the ring now as The Usos taunt The New Day, saying a lot has changed since they last left because this is now their show, The Bloodline's show. They are the ones, they say as they raise their fingers in the air. They mock The New Day for their royal attire at Halloween time.

Kofi wonders if they're jealous. The two teams continue arguing and yelling at each other now. Woods knocks The Usos for wearing the same thing since 2018. The Usos threaten to knock Woods' crown off. Woods quiets them and proposes a tag team match for tonight in a Trial By Combat, which is a match, according to Kofi. The Usos accept the challenge. Jey wants to touch the scepter but Kofi slaps his hand away. Jimmy rocks Kofi and a brief fight breaks out. The Usos head to the entrance-way and dance around, taunting The New Day as The New Day's music hits in the ring.

- We get a video package looking at how new eras for RAW and SmackDown began last week.

Trick or Street Fight: Rick Boogs and WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Happy Baron Corbin and Madcap Moss

We go back to the ring for our Halloween-themed Trick or Street Fight. Rick Boogs is out with his guitar. He gives a rad introduction to WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and out comes the champ to the ring as fans cheer them on. We go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Cole confirms The Usos vs. The New Day for the main event. Nakamura and Boogs are wrapping their entrance in the ring as we see pumpkins sitting on the apron all around the ring. Out next comes Happy Baron Corbin and Madcap Moss. They stop on the entrance-way as a huge amount of pyro goes off. We see how Corbin landed a non-title win over Nakamura last week. There are several Halloween decorations and weapons around the ring area, and Cole says they can all be used.

The bell rings and all four go at it. Moss and Boogs go to the floor while Nakamura levels Corbin with flying knees. Moss comes back in but Nakamura drops him with a kick. Boogs comes back in and man-handles Moss with a big gutwrench slam. Boogs brings his guitar over to the ring post area and shreds while Nakamura works on Moss in the ring. Corbin decks Boogs with a candy corn kendo stick. Corbin traps Boogs on the middle rope and works him over now.

WWE 24/7 Champion Reggie comes running through the ring with Drew Gulak, Erik and other Superstars chasing him around the ringside area, and then back to the back. Boogs drops Corbin but Moss tosses him to the floor. Moss taunts McAfee with fists at Boogs' face but Boogs blocks a face-first shot into the Bobbing For Apples tank. Boogs makes Moss bob for apples for a pop. Nakamura comes over and assists. McAfee, Boogs and Nakamura celebrate with a bite of an apple as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Boogs is being double teamed in the ring with candy corn kendo sticks. They laugh as the beatdown continues and fans boo. They toss Boogs to the floor and launch him into the barrier. Corbin shoves a bunch of candy in Boogs' face while Moss holds him. Nakamura makes the save, kicking the bowl of candy form Corbin's hand into the crowd. Nakamura kicks the ring post on a miss. Moss levels Nakamura and he goes down next to Boogs. Moss brings Nakamura back into the ring as Corbin grabs a pumpkin for a pop.

Fans want to see the pumpkin used but Corbin smashes it on the ground to boos. Nakamura is double teamed now as they stop Boogs from making the save. They take Nakamura back to the floor and go to put him through a table but Boogs makes the save with a bunch of pumpkins and a skeleton as fans cheer him on. Boogs returns to the ring and Corbin follows, as does Moss. Boogs clotheslines them both. Nakamura comes in and unloads with kendo stick shots now. Boogs also has a candy corn kendo stick. They hit a big double team on Corbin but Moss breaks the pin up and hits a fall-away slam on Nakamura.

Boogs launched Moss with a big throw. Corbin with Deep Six to Boogs. Nakamura comes back and then waits for Corbin to get up as fans cheer him on for the Kinshasa. Moss puts a pumpkin over Nakamura's head and Corbin takes advantage to prevent the Kinshasa. Boogs fights off a double team and sends Corbin into the ring post, then to the floor. Nakamura and Corbin tumble over into the timekeeper's area as Nakamura attacks.

Boogs drops Moss on his head again. Boogs goes to the top but he's smacked in the back with kendo stick shots by two masked men, dressed as ghouls, who have just walked up the steel ring steps to the apron. Moss takes advantage and drops Boogs on top of a pumpkin with a neckbreaker. Moss covers for the pin to win.

Winners: Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss

- After the match, the music hits as Corbin and Moss head to the entrance-way. The masked men in ghoul costumes stand on the apron and reveal themselves to be Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo. They stand tall and are all smiles as fans boo.

- Alyse Ashton is backstage with Sonya Deville, asking about tonight's Naomi vs. Shayna Baszler match. Deville insists there is no bias because she's a WWE official, and Ashton's boss. Sami Zayn interrupts and goes on about how it's a mistake he's not on the show tonight. Sami says Deville will need him around, especially as we get closer to the Survivor Series, and... the segment is abruptly cut as we go back to the ring, right in the middle of Sami talking.

Naomi vs. Shayna Baszler

We go back to the ring and out comes Naomi. We see how she took a loss to Shayna Baszler and Sonya Deville two weeks ago. Naomi hits the ring and dances as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and out comes Baszler. Before the match begins, Baszler asks where the referee is and out comes Deville with a mic. Deville understands there's an issue, but she came out because she forgot to mention. Deville says the referee who was supposed to work this match was injured by Brock Lesnar last week, and she needs to find someone fair and professional to step up at the last minute, and she can't find anyone better than herself. Deville has a crew member at ringside give her a referee shirt. Deville puts the shirt on and calls for the bell.

Naomi and Baszler lock up now. Naomi fights off an early Kirifuda Clutch. They tangle on the mat and Baszler goes for an ankle lock. Deville asks if Naomi wants to quit. Naomi fights Baszler off and they get back up. Naomi with forearms and a jumping head scissors takedown. Naomi with offense in the corners now, sending Baszler face-first into the middle turnbuckle with a bulldog.

Naomi with a big kick. Naomi springboards in from the apron but a Deville distraction allows Baszler to rock her. Baszler and Naomi tangle on the mat now with pin attempts but Deville counts a very quick pin to give Baszler the win.

Winner: Shayna Baszler

- After the match, the music hits but Naomi gets in Deville's face and starts yelling at her. Baszler comes from behind and applies the Kirifuda Clutch, bringing Naomi to the mat as Deville heads to the back. Baszler makes Naomi fade out and then stands tall over her as the music starts back up.

- Kayla Braxton is backstage with The New Day, asking if King Xavier Woods is concerned that his reign is already being threatened. Woods acknowledges the threats but says with this hand of the King next to him, Knight Kofi Kingston, nothing can go wrong. They go on and Woods says it's time to dish out their very first royal ass whipping.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos vs. The New Day

We go back to the ring for tonight's main event as The New Day's Kofi Kingston and King Xavier Woods are out. Back to commercial.

Back from the break and Alyse stops Naomi backstage for comments on what just happened. Naomi says if Sonya Deville decides to ever put away her corporate suit, she'll be waiting in the ring. She also issues a warning to Shayna Baszler, then walks off. We go back to the ring and The New Day waits as SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos head out for this non-title match – Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso. The bell rings as Woods starts off with Jey. They lock up and Uso knees Woods in the gut.

Woods counters in the corner and they run the ropes. Woods ducks three attempts and then levels Jey with a big right hand. Jey kicks out at 2. Woods controls Jey and tags in Kofi now. Kofi leaps and takes Jey down for 2. Kofi with an uppercut now. Jimmy tags in and they double team Kofi, then drop double elbows on him. Jimmy covers for a 2 count. Jimmy rocks Kofi into the corner and talks some trash. Jimmy keeps control but Kofi springboards from the corner with a big dropkick.

Woods tags in and they dropkick The Usos to the floor. Kofi goes to the top and leaps backwards at The Usos on the floor but they catch him in mid-air, then dump him over into the timekeeper's area. The Usos taunt Kofi while he's down in the timekeeper's area as we go back to commercial.

Back from the break and The Usos double team Kofi for another 2 count. Jey with the running hip attack in the corner to keep Kofi down as fans boo them. Jey talks some more trash and then rocks Kofi to keep him down in the corner. Jey goes for another charge into the corner but Kofi flies out of the corner with a big stomp takedown. Jey and Kofi both crawl for tags now.

Woods tags in as does Jimmy. Woods unloads and counters with a side-Russian leg sweep. Woods with a dropkick to keep Jimmy down for another close 2 count. Woods keeps working Jimmy over with rights and lefts, then chops against the ropes. Woods unloads with a flurry of chops now. Jimmy counters and rocks him in the face to stun the King. Woods keeps fighting and drops Jimmy's chest over his knees for a close pin attempt. Jimmy counters a move and kicks Woods, then tags Jey in.

Jey comes from behind and catches Woods in a big neckbreaker for a close 2 count in the middle of the ring. Jey argues with the referee now. Jey mushes Woods in the face, talking more trash. Woods rocks him with a right hand. Jey charges with one of his own, then Woods nails a forearm. Jey with another charging forearm of his own. Kofi and Jimmy are legal now. Jey superkicks Woods. Jimmy ducks Trouble In Paradise and hits the big pop-up Samoan Drop but Kofi kicks out just in time.

Jey tags back in and they double superkick sandwich Kofi in the head. Kofi kicks out at 2. Jey and Jimmy go to the top ropes now. Woods pulls Jey down and Jimmy flies but Kofi gets his knees up, forcing Jimmy to land hard. Woods drops Jey on the floor as Kofi rolls Jimmy up for a 2 count. Woods tags himself in but Jimmy doesn't see it. Jimmy levels Kofi with a big superkick and covers for the pin but Kofi isn't legal. Woods takes advantage and rolls Jimmy off of Kofi, into a pin for the win.

Winners: The New Day

- After the match, The New Day stands tall as the music hits. They begin celebrating as we go to replays. SmackDown goes off the air with Woods and Kingston celebrating the win.
