John Cena Featured In New Mountain Dew Commercial And Contest For The Super Bowl
Veteran WWE Superstar John Cena is featured in a new Mountain Dew commercial to introduce their Major Melon flavor.
Mountain Dew announced today that the thirty-second commercial will air during the NFL's Super Bowl LV on Sunday, February 7. The ad has been released online, and can be seen below.
Cena's new Mountain Dew campaign includes a contest that will give the first person to correctly tweet the exact number of soda bottles in the ad, with a $1 million prize. The commercial is part of a new 360-degree marketing campaign from the beverage brand.
Cena says he's been a Mountain Dew drinker for many years, and he believes fans will "go nuts" for the new Super Bowl ad.
"I've been a DEW drinker for many years, so I was beyond excited to get the call to be a part of the Mtn Dew Major Melon Super Bowl commercial," Cena said in the press release issued today by Mountain Dew. "Commercials play an important role during the big game and I have a feeling fans are going to go nuts for this one. The Mtn Dew Major Melon commercial is truly a life changing opportunity for one lucky fan."
Cena also tweeted on the new commercial and promotion.
