Impact Redemption Results: New Champions, Knockout Debuts, Austin Aries Defends Title

Welcome to Wrestling Inc's live coverage of Impact Wrestling Redemption beginning at 8pm ET! Headlining the card will be Impact World Champion Austin Aries vs. Pentagon Jr. vs. Fenix. Also, the Knockouts, X Division, and Tag Team Titles will all be defended.

- Josh Mathews and Don Callis welcomes us to the PPV and we get right to our first match.

Aerostar vs. Drago

Feeling out process by both wrestlers, a couple pin attempts, but nothing close. Aerostar with a twisting dive off the top rope, sends Drago out to the floor, Aerostar up to the top rope – slight hesitation – crossbody clears out Drago. "Lucha!" chant from a packed house tonight. Action back in the ring as Drago finally gets some offense in with a big superkick.

Aerostar finds himself out on the floor, Drago with a flip over the top rope and takes out Aerostar. Back in the ring, Drago sets up Aerostar, kick to the back of the head. Drago with a punch to the mug, misses the second and goes out to the floor. Aerostar with a springboard reverse cannonball that crushes Drago. "This is awesome!" chant from the crowd. Both back in the ring, Aerostar goes for the cover, two. Drago back up, tries for a couple pins, nope. Double clothesline brings both wrestlers down.

Drago drapes his opponent on the top rope, nails a DDT, pin, two and a half. Drago out to the floor again, suicide dive by Aerostar. Aerostar charges into the corner, misses, Drago trips him, low dropkick to the head, pin, two. Drago with a powerbomb, tries for a nother, no Aerostar with a rolling cutter, Aerostar tries for a springboard, but botches it. Aerostar goes for a second rope springboard, hits a messy looking codebreaker, pin, 1-2-3.

Winner: Aerostar via Pinfall

- Earlier today, Josh Mathews gives Matt Sydal a bit of a pep talk before his match.

- At commentary, Don Callis say that pep talk made him physically sick.

- Recap of Eli Drake defeating Moose to win two contracts. Drake then picked Scott Steiner to be his partner as the duo will face LAX for the tag titles tonight.

- LAX Lair, Santana and Ortiz hanging out and wondering where Konnan is at. Santana decides to sit in Konnan's chair and jokes with Ortiz about sitting in the big chair. The phone rings, someone is on the phone (King?) and they apparently took Konnan out, so he won't be at Redemption tonight.

LAX (c) vs. Eli Drake and Scott Steiner (Impact World Tag Team Championship)

Crowd with a loud "LAX!" chant. Steiner yells "LAX sucks" back at them. Drake and Santana get things started, Santana goes to work on Drake. Quickly brings in Ortiz, double team move, Drake drops Ortiz and tags in Steiner. Santana is getting the ref's attention for no reason at all, Steiner tosses Ortiz to the ropes, Drake holds them down and Ortiz bails out to the floor. Steiner helps keep the ref distracted as Drake beats up on Ortiz out on the floor.

Santana gets dropped to the floor. Drake and Steiner go to work on Ortiz, who finally fights back, dodges Drake and hits a DDT on Steiner. Santana gets in there with Drake, hits a rolling cutter. Moonsault/leg drop combo by LAX, pin, Steiner breaks that up. Steiner with two belly-to-belly suplex. Steiner up top with Santana and hits a frankensteiner! Commentary saying he hasn't done that in five years. He goes for the Steiner recliner on Santana, but Ortiz comes in and kicks Steiner in the head. Drake with a top rope springboard moonsault, Santana superkicks Drake. Santana heads to the top rope, Drake runs up, tries for a superplex, Ortiz stops that. Santana skips the street sweeper and instead goes for Steiner on the floor. Drake hits the gravy train on Ortiz, pin, 1-2-3.

Ishimori vs. Dezmond Xavier vs. El Hijo del Fantasma vs. Brian Cage vs. DJZ vs. Trevor Lee

Lucha rules in this one, only two in the ring at a time. If someone heads out to the floor, another wrestler can get into the match. DJZ and Xavier in the to start, back and forth action with Xavier hitting a nice dropkick. DJZ opts to flip out to the floor and take down Ishimori. Lee jumps in and thinks he tosses Xaiver out of the ring, he didn't, Xavier sends him out. Whenever DJZ points or yells "DJZ" a horn goes off.

Ishimori springboard sitting senton on Fantasma, but Fantasma hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Crowd with a "We want Cage!" chant. Ishimori sent out, Lee jumps in and sends Fantasma out, DJZ tries to springboard in, but gets dropped. Lee gets rid of Xavier and then decides to whack Cage, but the ref stops Cage from coming in. Lee and DJZ still in the ring, but now Cage is in there and destroys Lee. Xavier comes in and gets back body dropped. Fantasma has no luck either. Ishimori gets dropped, Cage with a second rope moonsault, slips and falls to the mat. He gets right back up and hits it the second time. Ishimori and Xavier are the legal men now, Xavier sent to the mat. Ishimori with a golden moonsault on Cage. Lee with a big punt kick from the apron. DJZ leaps off Xavier's back and tries for a tornado DDT taking out another two guys.

Fantasma and Xavier in the ring now, package piledriver attempt by Fantasma, but DJZ superkick him. Ishimori rolling death valley driver, superkick, cover, two-count. Cage back in the ring and double clothesline on both Ishimori and DJZ. Xavier tries to leap on Cage, but is caught in midair. Fantasma tries a crossbody, but Cage catches him too! Fallaway slam on both guys. Lee in now, nearly gets the three-count on Cage. Xavier with a back handspring pele kick, Fantasma dropkicks him to the floor and Fantasma nails the arrow from the depth of hell on Xavier. Quickly tosses him back in, tries for the pin, DJZ breaks it up. Lee with a double stomp on DJZ, Cage hits a discus clothesline on Lee. He catches Xavier's kick, drill claw hits, 1-2-3.

Winner: Brian Cage via Pinfall

- Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell talks with Allie who says the PPV name means a lot to her because a lot of fans think she's a paper champion. She's overcome other wrestlers and will do the same with Su Yung. She's asked about Braxton Sutter, Allie says she's put others always before her, but not tonight, tonight is for her and her redemption.

Taya Valkyrie vs. Kiera Hogan

Taya is pretty much all offense so far in this match. At commentary, Tessa Blanchard shows up and apparently is now in the Knockouts Division. Valkyrie just hammers away on Hogan, while Blanchard says she's traveled the world and believes Impact needs her.

Hogan off the top rope crossbody, but Valkyrie recovers quickly and drops her to the mat, cover, two, Valkyrie swings away at Hogan. Hogan attempts to suplex Valkyrie, no luck. Taya tries for road to Valhalla, no. She smacks Hogan, tries for it again and gets the pin. Blanchard was on commentary for the entire match and argued with Mathews for most of it.

- Backstage, Petey Williams talks with McKenzie. He tries to do the math of winning his match, Steiner shows up and gives him some help.

Matt Sydal (c) vs. Petey Williams (Impact X Division Championship)

Quick start, plenty of pin attempts from both wrestlers. Williams with a big chop and hits a hurricanrana on Sydal to the corner, able to hit a double stomp. Sydal recovers, really focusing on Williams' back now, trying to slow the challenger down. Multiple kicks, including an ax kick that sends Williams to the mat, cover, two. More kicks to the back of Williams' legs.

Sydal hits a standing moonsault, pin, two-count. Williams looks for a canadian destroyer, no, but he does hit a TKO. Williams tries yet again, no, Sydal with a spinning kick and hits a running cannonball. Bunch of counter, Williams tries for a sharpshooter, but Sydal gets a bottom rope break. Slingshot codebreaker by Williams, but Sydal falls out to the floor.

Williams gets him back in, Sydal with a jumping knee, charges in, gets kicked, Williams tries to go to the top, but Sydal with a standing hurricanrana. Sydal goes to the top shooting star press, knees up. Williams hits the canadian destroyer, Sydal rolls out of the ring though. Williams tried for a super canadian destroyer, Sydal holds on and Williams flips over. Sydal tries for a shooting star press, no, Williams goes for his finisher, gets packaged up and pinned.

Winner: Matt Sydal via Pinfall to retain the Impact X Division Championship

- Backstage, Eddie Edwards and Moose talk to McKenzie about oVe. Edwards was so mad he could barely talk, Moose talks about in football being a house of hardcore every play. Tommy Dreamer references Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" and says he wishes King could see what wrestling is today: black and white, man and woman, young and old, all together. Kind of weird.

Tommy Dreamer, Eddie Edwards, and Moose vs. oVe (Sami Callihan, Jake and Dave Crist) (House of Hardcore 6-Man Tag Match)

Jake tries for the early attack, he's caught and powerbombed on the apron. Edwards with his own dive takes out Callihan. Weapons are already out! Dreamer spitting water on Callihan (and some of the fans). Trash can lid to Callihan's face. Crowd with an "ECW!" chant as Dreamer sends Jake into the ring and smacks him with a cookie tray.

Edwards throws a chair at Callihan and then swings away on Jake. Callihan back up and suplexes Edwards chair that was setup in the middle of the ring. Moose in the ring with Callihan, spinebuster, running senton. Moose with a flip over the top rope and lands on a ladder that was place up against the apron. Callihan claws away at Edwards face while Jake and Dave go to work on Dreamer.

Edwards is all alone in the ring now and is getting destroyed by oVe. Edwards up on Dave's shoulders, Jake up on Callihan and hits a leaping cutter on a chair! Cover, Moose breaks it up. Moose with a running dropkick to Dave and Callihan, sending him to the floor. He puts a trash can on Jake's head and nails him with a running dropkick, cover, Dave breaks it up. Dave gets some duct tap. Dreamer with a death valley driver through a table out on the floor. Edwards and Dave in the ring now and out come the thumbtacks. Edwards is put up on the top turnbuckle. Moose tosses Jake into the ring post. Moose gets Dave on his shoulders powerbomb/leg drop combo on the thumbtacks!

Dreamer put into a table, Moose looks to dive down on Dave through a table, Jake from the other turnbuckle, catching him in midair with a cutter. Callihan and Edwards in the ring, Callihan claws at Edwards' eyes. He brings in a baseball bat and goes to smack Edwards, but Dreamer brings in his own barbed wire baseball bat. He smacks Callihan in the stomach, goes to scratch up his forehead, Callihan with a lowblow, roll-up, 1-2-3.

Winners: oVe via Pinfall

- Post-match, Edwards attacks Callihan and digs away at his forehead with the barbed wire bat, busting him open. Edwards then grabs the duct tape and tapes Callihan to the top rope. Callihan spits at Edwards, and gets kicked between the legs. He wipes Callihan's blood on his face and swings away with a kendo stick. First in the legs, right over the head, the shoulder, and then the ref! Dreamer comes in and tells him to back off, Edwards shoves him down, and hammers Callihan right over the head! He smacks down Jake and Dave. Out comes Alisha Edwards to stop him and Edwards whacks her too! Dreamer and Edwards check on her as a medical team comes down to check on her. Referees finally free Callihan who is a bloody mess.

- Backstage, Fenix says Lucha Underground prepared him for what's to come against Pentagon Jr. and Aries. Continues that you're looking at the new world champion.

- Backstage, Austin Aries talks with McKenzie about how he's been traveling the world collecting belts (currently has six) and putting companies on his back. Tonight he's going out there and taking out both Pentagon Jr. and Fenix.

- Recap of Allie's rivalry with Su Yung and Braxton Sutter.

Allie (c) vs. Su Yung (with Braxton Sutter) (Impact Knockouts Championship)

Allie tells Sutter to get out of the ring and Yung is able to attack Allie, but that doesn't last for long. Allie with a suplex in the corner and a sliding elbow out to the floor. A bunch of fans are wearing their bunny ears while they cheer on Allie. Back in the ring, Allie heads up top, Sutter knocks her back into a tree of woe position and Yung goes to work, cover, two.

Allie recovers, back and forth slams in the corners, Allie finally hits a DDT to stop that. Big forearms on Yung, sliding forearms in the corner, side russian leg sweep, pin, two. Yung with a tiger driver, pin attempt, two-count. Allie with a superkick, Sutter gets involved and gets the ref's attention. Allie tries for a slap, Sutter blocks it, but she hammers him with the second swing. Yung with the panic switch attempt, Allie counters with a roll-up and gets the victory.

Winner: Allie via Pinfall to retain the Impact Knockouts Championship

- Post-match, Yung is not happy. Sutter gets on the mic and says he knows how to fix this. He gets on one knee and proposes to her (much like Laurel and Allie). Yung rubs his face and spits red mist in his face and then gives him the mandible claw (she had a weird glove on for most of the match).

Austin Aries (c) vs. Pentagon Jr. vs. Fenix (Impact World Championship)

Crowd really into this one early, plenty of chants ringing out. Each wrestler doing some taunting, Aries with a big chop on Pentagon Jr. Aries nearly gets a double superkick early on, which was the move that took him out of their previous match at LU vs. Impact. Aries tries for last chancery on Pentagon, Fenix with a springboard dropkick across the ring to stop that. Aries takes Pentagon out of the match, goes after Fenix, able to get a cover, two.

Pentagon back in, tries to superkick Aries, misses, hits Fenix. Aries with last chancery on Pentagon, Fenix rolls over Aries to break that up. Aries gets tossed out of the ring, but he hit a hurricanra on Pentagon before landing on the floor. Fenix tries for a corner move, slips (like everybody else has tonight!), walks the ropes, slips off again and then hits a corkscrew senton on both Aries and Pentagon. Pentagon back in the ring and gets dropped, Fenix up to the top rope and nails a senton.

Aries tries for a brainbuster, no. Crowd seems split between Aries and Pentagon. Fenix and Aries chop away at each other in the ring. Roaring elbow by Aries, kneebreaker right into a release suplex. Aries heads to the top, Pentagon kicks him all the way to the floor. Pentagon with a backstabber on Fenix, cover, two. Fenix with an uppercut, muscle buster on Pentagon, pin, two-count. Aries is nowhere to be seen at the moment. Fenix with a big elbow, Pentagon with a pentagon driver, Aries breaks it up, tries for brainbuster, no, roaring elbow lands.

Aries with a neckbreaker on the ropes to Pentagon. Fenix jumps off the steps, gets superkicked. Aries with a rough looking suicide dive, ends up sending Pentagon over the barricade and into the crowd. Action back in the ring, Aries hits a 450 splash on both Pentagon and Fenix. Pentagon took a lot of that one, ouch. Pin, two. Aries looks for brainbuster, no. Double superkicks on Aries and again! Pentagon catches Fenix with a superkick, Pentagon with a gory special/package piledriver on both wrestlers. He snaps Aries arm and hits the pentagon driver for the victory! What a match!

Winner: Pentagon Jr. via Pinfall to win the Impact World Championship

- Post-match, Pentagon celebrates with the title. Aries is still out on the floor. Fenix walks up to his brother and finally gives him a hug. Pentagon celebrates some more.
