Austin Aries Lashes Out At Indy Promotion For Their Wrestling Ring (Video)
Austin Aries was upset with World Series Wrestling in Australia this past weekend. Aries had teamed with Sean Waltman at World Series Wrestling's International Assault in Brisbane. After the match, Waltman praised Aries, saying that it was an honor to team with him.
Aries took the mic and praised Waltman as well, saying that it was an honor to team with one of his idols. Aries thanked Waltman and hugged him before taking the mic again.
"But there's one more thing," Aries said. "I'm known for being kind off an asshole, and I'm known for speaking the truth, and here's the truth of the fact! You've got some talented men and women back there out here busting their ass! The stage that we bust our ass in is this wrestling ring, and quite frankly this wrestling ring is a f-cking disgrace!"
Aries then tossed the mic to the mat and stormed off to the back. Waltman took the mic and said that the ring hurt Aries more than their opponents did, which is "why he's pretty pissed off." Waltman finished his promo by saying, "if you're not down with Austin Aries and X-Pac, we've got two words for ya!" Waltman thanked the fans again and left the ring.
Aries apparently suffered a cut to his eye at the event. Aries had suffered an injury to that eye in October of 2016 after taking an errant Kinshasa from Shinsuke Nakamura at an NXT live event.
