TNA Executive On If WWE Prompted TNA To Move Impact Wrestling To Thursday Nights

As seen in the video above, TNA's Executive Vice President of Creative and Talent Relations John Gaburick recently appeared on The Taz Show. When asked about TNA moving Impact Wrestling to Thursday nights, Gaburick noted that it was an opportunity to "go back home" to Thursdays, noting that television viewership is strongest on Thursdays.

Gaburick said that one of the most important aspects of their decision was the fact that there is built-in television habits of people watching wrestling at 8:00 on Thursdays. He said that the move was mainly about opportunity and that they are "super-excited" about it.

Taz pressed Gaburick further, asking him flat-out if the move was done because WWE SmackDown was moving to Tuesdays starting next week. Gaburick admitted that WWE "was part of this decision," and that WWE's move to Tuesday night "opened up" a spot on Thursday nights for them. Gaburick said that it was a logical step, and that they jumped at the opportunity to move.
