Roman Reigns Wanted To Play For The Bears, Large College Football Star Eyeing WWE Career, NFL - WWE
- ChicagoBears.com has an article here with recent comments from Roman Reigns to CSNChicago.com. Reigns, who had signed with the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars in the off-season, said that he wanted to be a "Chicago Bear immediately" after taking a trip there.
"I actually came up to Chicago and took a trip," Reigns said. "I got to meet the head coach Lovie [Smith] at the time and I was sold. I wanted to be a Chicago Bear immediately. But unfortunately it didn't work out, but we found the right team."

- The New York Times ran an article last week about NFL looking at WWE's business model for the Network for its own online streaming. It also wonders if the NFL will create its own subscription only app to stream games, similar to HBO.
- SB Nation has an interview at this link with 6'7, 390-pound Baylor lineman LaQuan McGowan, who said that he feels like "WWE is calling" his name once his playing career is over.
"I've watched it on TV. I've thought about, 'What would be something good or something that I would enjoy doing for a decent, for a long period of time?'" McGowan said. "For big guys in the NFL, they really don't last that long."
