Ric Flair Doesn't Think That Triple H And The Rock Like Each Other, Bruce Prichard On Their Rivalry

Recently, Ric Flair spoke with Bruce Prichard on the WOOOOO! Nation podcast. Prichard, who worked behind the scenes for WWE, talked about the rivalry between the Rock and Triple H.

According to Prichard, when the Rock and Triple H first began working together during the Attitude Era, the two would go out live and while the Rock would stick to the script, Triple H would go off script and "eat him alive."

Prichard said the Rock would come back through the curtain complaining, "goddamn this guy is going off and I'm doing what I'm told." Prichard advised the Rock that he could go off script too, as long as he could "take the ass chewing" if his promos were weak. Prichard claimed that he told the Rock that if he is going to go off script and it is great, he will look like a genius, but if it is not great, he will look like a "dumbass."

After that, "they would spar with each other out there, verbally, go completely off script, and the audience, man, they felt it because it was real," Prichard recalled. Despite the professional jealousy between the two, Prichard believed that they worked beautifully in the ring.

"You don't have to like somebody to work great with them," Prichard said, "and that was the magic."

When Prichard noted that the Rock and Triple H didn't really care for each other, Flair said he thinks they still don't like each other.
