Mr. Anderson Talks The Perception Of Him Being Injury Prone, Why That Has Changed Over The Years
One of the more discussed aspects of the early national career of current TNA star Mr. Anderson was the constant injuries he sustained while a part of the WWE roster. Then known as Mr. Kennedy, Ken Anderson had a couple of big pushes derailed after being sidelined.
I had a chance to speak with Mr. Anderson this week to talk about several subjects, including his match this week with Ethan Carter III. I also asked him if there was any contributing factors to the fact that he's been able to stay in the ring much more consistently since making the jump to TNA in 2010.
"Not working with people that injure me," Anderson said while laughing. "That was the one thing that fired me up about the injuries. I can't help it if someone walks up and smashes you in the knee with a baseball bat. That doesn't make you injury prone."
Anderson said that he's always taken care of himself, but as he's gotten older he's measured risk versus reward in a much more calculated manner. Anderson also said that staying in the gym and watching his diet has helped him avoid injury as well.
"I'm very cautious about what I do now. I think about what I do before I do it, and apply it to wrestling. I try to not take any unnecessary risks. I try to eat healthy all the time, work out 5-6 days a week. I try to stay active," said Anderson.
We'll have the first full part of our interview with Mr. Anderson tomorrow, followed by part two on Sunday.
