WWE SummerSlam Results: New Champions Crowned, John Cena Dominated, Nikki Turns

- The 2014 WWE SummerSlam Kickoff pre-show kicks off with Renee Young, Booker T, Alex Riley and Ric Flair on the panel, live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. They talk about some of tonight's matches. Flair says he's looking forward to seeing Randy Orton define himself as the best wrestler alive. They talk about Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena. Booker can't call a winner. Riley says if Lesnar wins, it won't be good for the WWE Universe. They talk about Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon now and we get a video package.

- We come back and get some more talk before going to JBL, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler at ringside.

Rob Van Dam vs. Cesaro

We go to the ring and out come Rob Van Dam to a pop. Cesaro is out next to a nice reaction also.

They lock up and trade holds. Cesaro slams RVD first. RVD comes back and catapults Cesaro across the ring. RVD with a kick in the corner. More back and forth, more problems with the PS3 and iPad streams. RVD leaps out to the floor but lands on his feet. Cesaro turns around to a big kick. RVD gets a pop and hits Rolling Thunder on the floor. RVD rolls Cesaro back in and goes to work with kicks in the corner. Cesaro with a thumb to the eye. Cesaro turns it around and beats RVD down in the corner now.

Cesaro with a big gutwrench slam for a 2 count. Cesaro with more offense as we go to commercial.

We come back and Cesaro has RVD down on the mat. RVD fights to his feet but Cesaro catches him in mid-air with a big knee to the spine and a 2 count. Cesaro looks to go for Rolling Thunder, mocking RVD, but stomps on RVD's chest instead. Cesaro with a 2 count. Cesaro with another headlock now. RVD comes back with clotheslines. Cesaro counters a kick but RVD turns it into a leg scissors for a 2 count. RVD drops Cesaro with a kick. RVD with a split legged moonsault for another pin. RVD sends Cesaro to the floor with a thrust kick. VD moonsaults from the apron out onto Cesaro.

RVD goes to the top but Cesaro knocks him off his feet with a big uppercut. Cesaro climbs up for a superplex but RVD knocks him to the mat. RVD goes for the frogsplash but Cesaro hits another uppercut. Cesaro climbs back up but RVD sends him back to the mat. Once again Cesaro hits another uppercut. RVD shoves him to the mat once again. This time RVD leaps off into an uppercut for a 2 count. More back and forth. Cesaro with a running boot for a 2 count. RVD drops Cesaro with a kick to the face. RVD eventually goes back to the top and nails the Five Star frogsplash for the win.

Winner: Rob Van Dam

- We go back to the panel for more hype. Renee has Jake "Mama's Boy" Tucker from the Totino's Bold Show Us Your Superstar contest that WWE has been running. We will hear more from him later Renee says. They talk about Orton vs. Reigns now. Flair praises Reigns but says Orton is the man today, the best wrestler in the world. Booker also goes with Orton. We get a promo for Lesnar vs. Cena and that's it for the pre-show.

- The 2014 WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view opens with Hulk Hogan coming out to a big pop. Hogan speaks from the stage and says he couldn't think of a better way to kick off SummerSlam than with The Hulkster. Hogan talks about how big tonight is and gets a pop for mentioning Los Angeles before plugging the WWE Network. Hogan then says no matter where you are, you're paying $9.99 for the WWE Network, which isn't really true. We go to a SummerSlam opening video.

WWE Intercontinental Title Match: Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz

We go to the ring and out comes WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz. He says everyone in Hollywood, including Drax the Destroyer, wishes they had his "moneymaker" face. Miz says he's going to make Dolph Ziggler the WWE version of the LA Lakers. Out next comes Dolph Ziggler.

We see the Spanish and German announce teams as Ziggler makes his way out. We also see Maria Menounos at ringside. Back and forth to start the match. Ziggler with an early 2 count. Miz avoids a shot to the face and rolls out to the floor. Miz comes back in and Ziggler drops him but Miz goes back to the floor. Ziggler follows with a clothesline. Ziggler brings it back in the ring and blocks a kick. Ziggler with a roll up for 2. Ziggler takes it tot he corner but Miz makes a comeback. Miz whips Ziggler hard front side first into the corner and he goes down. Miz stomps away and hits a big boot to the face for a 2 count. Ziggler fights out of a headlock as fans chant "you can't wrestle" at Miz. Ziggler tries to make a comeback but Miz drops him and gets heat from the fans.

Miz comes off the top but Ziggler hits him on the way down. Ziggler duck a clothesline and hits a pair of his own. Ziggler with a splash in the corner and a neckbreaker for 2. Miz blocks the Fame-asser. Ziggler skins the cat and decks Miz for a 2 count. Ziggler blocks the Skull Crushing Finale. Miz goes for the Figure Four but it's blocked. Ziggler with superkicks for a close 2 count. Miz goes to the floor and looks to leave but Ziggler kicks him into the barrier. They come back in and Miz goes for the Figure Four, locking it in this time.

Miz keeps the hold locked in and gets a few 2 counts out of it. Ziggler finally makes it to the bottom rope and Miz takes his time breaking the hold. Ziggler goes for the Fame-asser and Miz nails a Skull Crushing Finale for a close 2 count. Miz can't believe it. Ziggler ducks a big boot and hits the Zig Zag for the win.

Winner and New WWE Intercontinental Champion: Dolph Ziggler

- Ziggler has a big celebration after the match as Miz throws a fit at ringside.

- We go backstage to Tom Phillips and Brie Bella. She says she did a lot of reflecting during her incarceration. She says Stephanie McMahon has put everyone through hell and tonight, she's going to take out the She-Beast because it's best for business.

WWE Divas Title Match: Paige vs. AJ Lee

We go to the ring and out comes Paige. We get a look at her feud with AJ Lee. The Divas Champion is out next to a big pop.

The bell rings and we get some CM Punk chants. Paige offers a shake and AJ bites her it looks like. AJ grabs Paige's hair and pulls some of her extensions out. Paige goes to the floor screaming. AJ follows and slams her face into the announcers table. AJ rolls her back in but Paige gets the upperhand. AJ blocks a knee and sends Paige back to the floor. AJ goes for a kick from the apron but Paige grabs her legs and slams her face first into the barrier. Paige skips around and back into the ring.

More back and forth as both Divas are going at it. Paige ends up on the floor. AJ leaps from the top rope and takes Paige out with a big dive. Both Divas are down now. AJ rolls Paige back in the ring for a 2 count. Paige kicks AJ in the face. Paige goes for a move but AJ turns it into the Black Widow. Paige drops a DDT on AJ for the win out of nowhere.

Winner and New WWE Divas Champion: Paige

- After the match, Paige crawls over to AJ and hugs her.

- We get the Sting promo for WWE 2K15.

Flag Match: Rusev vs. Jack Swagger

We go to the ring and out comes Rusev with Lana. The winner of this match will have their flag displayed above the ring. Lana cuts a promo and rips on Hollywood, calling it everything that's wrong with America. A Color Guard comes out to begin Swagger's entrance. He comes out with Zeb Colter and the American flag. Rusev attacks Swagger before the match and the American flag actually touches the ground. Swagger fights back and they're separated. Lana yells at everyone, including Rusev. Fans chant USA as Rusev sells a leg injury.

The bell rings and Swagger unloads on Rusev in the corner. Fans chant "we the people" as Swagger has control. Rusev goes to the floor but Swagger brings him back in. Rusev limps back out to the floor and Swagger runs him over. They come back in the ring. Swagger goes for the Swagger Bomb but Rusev gets his knees up. Rusev works Swagger over now but his ankle is hurt. Rusev with knees in the corner now. Rusev with a big kick to the back. Rusev keeps control as fans chant for Swagger. Rusev with a headbutt and a bear hug now.

Rusev keeps control and sends Swagger to the mat. Rusev with a knee to the back. Swagger makes a comeback and hits a big clothesline. Swagger with a splash in the corner and a boot to the face. Swagger nails the Swagger Bomb for a 2 count. Rusev fights back. Swagger catches a superkick and goes for the Patriot Lock but it's blocked. Swagger slams Rusev for a 2 count. Rusev goes for Swagger's injured ribs again and hits the superkick. Lana tells Rusev to crush. Rusev stomps Swagger's back and goes for The Accolade but his ankle gives out. Rusev does the move on one foot and a knee but Swagger powers out. Swagger locks in the Patriot Lock but and tightens it, pulling Rusev back. Rusev breaks it and hits a big kick. Rusev locks in The Accolade like usual now for the win as Swagger passes out. He did not tap.

Winner: Rusev

- After the match, Zeb comes in to check on Swagger. Lana comes in and yells at Zeb. Rusev runs over Zeb with a big kick to the head. Lana and Rusev stand over them as the Russian flag drops down over the ring and the Russian national anthem plays.

- We get a Mountain Dew promo and a video for Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose.

Lumberjack Match: Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose

We go to the ring and it's surrounded by 20 WWE Superstars. Seth Rollins is out first with his Money In the Bank briefcase. Dean Ambrose is out next to a big pop.

They start brawling early on back and forth. Ambrose goes to the top but Rollins turns him upside down in the corner and stomps away. Fans chant "you sold out" as Rollins keeps Ambrose on the mat. Ambrose fights up and out. He ducks a clothesline and drops Rollins twice. Stardust, Goldust, The Usos, Rob Van Dam, Ryback, Curtis Axle, Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Titus O'Neil, Big E, Fandango, Sin Cara, Bo Dallas, Cesaro and Heath Slater are just some of the Lumberjacks. Ambrose suplexes Rollins from the apron on to a group of Lumberjacks. Ambrose starts a big brawl with everyone. Ambrose sends Rollins over the barrier and he lands on his knee. Lumberjacks toss Ambrose back in the ring but he hits a suicide dive onto the. Ambrose jumps on the announce table and runs the barrier to leap on Rollins in the crowd. Rollins and Ambrose fight through the crowd while the Lumberjacks look on from ringside.

They fight up the steps. Kane comes out to ringside and yells at the Lumberjacks. Several of them go up the steps to try and bring Rollins & Ambrose back to the ring. Rollins takes out Sin Cara on the steps. Rollins tries to leave and go to the back while Ambrose is carried back to the ring. Rollins is met by a group of Lumberjacks at the stage and they won't let him leave. They carry Rollins back to the ring. Ambrose is waiting on the top rope and he leaps out, taking Rollins and all the Lumberjacks down. Ambrose brings Rollins back in and hits a huge clothesline for a close 2 count and a big pop.

More back and forth. Ambrose uses Rollins' curb stomp and goes for the win. Kane comes in the ring to break it up. Goldust gets in Kane's face but Kane drops him. A huge brawl breaks out in the ring now with all the Lumberjacks. It comes down to Ambrose, Rowan and Harper. He sends them out and turns around to a briefcase shot to the face from Rollins for the win.

Winner: Seth Rollins

- After the match, we go to replays of the non-stop chaos. Rollins clutches his briefcase and gets some boos as his music plays.

- We get a look at Chris Jericho and Bray Wyatt's feud.

Bray Wyatt vs. Chris Jericho

We go to the ring and Bray Wyatt makes his way out to a pop as the arena lights up. Chris Jericho is out next to another big pop.

The bell rings and they go at it. Jericho ends up on the floor and Wyatt follows. Wyatt stomps away and drops knees. Wyatt sends Jericho's head into the steel steps and brings him back in. Wyatt works Jericho over and some of the crowd starts singing "the whole world in his hands" but more boo. Wyatt sends Jericho into the ring post. Wyatt goes to the floor and punches Jericho's head into the ring post as the referee warns him. Wyatt runs and nails Jericho in the head again. Wyatt goes back in and slingshots Jericho's neck under the rope. He poses to a mixed reaction.

Wyatt keeps Jericho down with a headlock now. Fans rally for Jericho and he gets to his feet. Wyatt takes him back to the mat with the headlock. Wyatt misses a clothesline and eats an enziguri. Jericho goes to the top but lands on his feet. Wyatt with a big clothesline and a splash for a 2 count. Wyatt nails Jericho in the corner again. He charges again but runs into a dropkick from Jericho for a 2 count. Jericho with a big kick to the gut and then the face. Wyatt ducks a clothesline and slams Jericho hard for a 2 count. Wyatt mounts Jericho with right hands now.

Wyatt goes for Sister Abigail but it's countered with a roll up for 2. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho and gets it locked in. The hold is broken and they fight on the apron now. Wyatt drops Jericho face first into the apron for a 2 count. Fans do dueling chants as Wyatt goes to the second rope. Jericho cuts him off and climbs up for a hurricanrana. Jericho nails it but Wyatt kicks out at 2. Jericho with a clothesline in the corner. Jericho dodges a few moves and drops Wyatt with a kick. Wyatt turns himself upside down and does the spider walk. Jericho looks on freaked out. More back and forth, more feed problems on two different devices. Wyatt yells at Jericho. Jericho nails a Codebreaker for a 2 count.

They go back to the floor and Wyatt drops Jericho with a right hand. More feed problems. The feed comes back on and Wyatt hits a Sister Abigail into the barrier. Wyatt throws Jericho back into the ring and hits another Sister Abigail for the win.

Winner: Bray Wyatt

- After the match, takes the mic and sings "whole world in his hands" before dropping it and posing.

- We get a look at the feud between Brie Bella and Stephanie McMahon.

Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon

Back to the ring and out first comes Stephanie McMahon in new ring gear. Stephanie marches to the ring and she's all by herself. Brie Bella is out next and they both look ready to fight.

They go at it and Stephanie takes her to the corner. They break and Stephanie uses the ropes until the referee makes the 5 count. Brie hits an arm drag. They lock up again and Brie hits another. Brie dodges a lock up and grabs Stephanie from behind now. Stephanie with an elbow to the mouth. Stephanie with shoulder thrusts in the corner now. Stephanie throws Brie to the mat and works her over in the corner with kicks.

Stephanie with more offense in the corner before throwing her to the mat. Stephanie mocks the "yes!" chant now. Brie blocks a slap and fights back. Stephanie dodges the Yes Lock and slides out of the ring. Brie runs the ropes for a suicide dive but Stephanie meets her at the apron with a big shot to the face. Stephanie starts another "yes!" chant. Brie makes it back in at the 9 count. Stephanie drops her with a DDT for a 2 count. Stephanie keeps control and talks some trash. Stephanie with a blockbuster for a 2 count. Fans chant "you still got it" at Stephanie as she puts a boot to Brie's back.

Stephanie continues to put on a nice performance until Brie kicks her in the face to interrupt some trash talking. Stephanie gets angry now. She charges but Brie hits a Thesz Press and unloads. Brie with kicks in the corner as fans do the "yes!" chant. Brie gets fired up and tosses Stephanie across the ring. Stephanie looks to try and crawl out of the ring but Brie grabs her leg and unloads in the corner with more strikes. Brie with more kicks as the fans chant. The referee backs her off. Brie tosses Stephanie by her hair again. Brie goes to the second rope and gets a pop before hitting a missile dropkick. 2 count by Brie.

Brie keeps control and out comes Triple H. He distracts from the apron. Nikki Bella also runs out. Stephanie goes for a Pedigree but Brie turns it into a Yes Lock. Triple H yanks the referee out of the ring by his leg. Brie kicks Triple H to the floor and stands over him, leading a "yes!" chant. Nikki runs in the ring as Stephanie tries crawling out. Stephanie pleads with her. Stephanie backs into Brie and is in between both Twins now. Nikki yanks Stephanie out of the way and lays her sister out. Nikki helps Stephanie to her feet and leaves the ring, looking at Triple H. Stephanie grabs Brie and hits a Pedigree for the win.

Winner: Stephanie McMahon

- After the match, Triple H hits the ring to celebrate with Stephanie. Nikki looks on from ringside. Stephanie and Triple H talk trash to Brie. Stephanie poses in the corner as we go to replays. We come back and Nikki backs her way up the ramp, looking back at the ring as The Authority makes their exit. Stephanie looks to stop and kiss her daughters at ringside. Brie is still laid out in the ring as we get more replays. The Authority celebrates some more from the stage as officials check on Brie.

- We get more of the Show us Your Superstar contest winner.

Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns

We go to the ring and out comes Randy Orton. We see some of his history with Roman Reigns. Reigns is out next to a big pop. He comes through the crowd and has some slightly different gear with dark blue trim.

The bell rings and they meet in the middle of the ring to have words. Reigns strikes first with right hands. Orton fights back but Reigns hits a headbutt. Orton goes to the floor to regroup but Reigns cuts him off. Reigns brings Orton back in but gets kicked. Reigns drops Orton with a back elbow. Reigns takes Orton to the corner and mounts him but the referee orders him down. Reigns ends up dropping Orton with a big right hand. Reigns tosses Orton out to the floor. Reigns slams Orton's face into the barrier. Orton counters a whip and sends Reigns into the steel steps. Orton brings Reigns back in and covers for a 2 count.

Orton keeps control and starts stomping on Reigns. Reigns dodges a big knee drop. They trade shots now. Orton whips Reigns into the corner but runs into a boot. Orton with headbutts and punches. Orton climbs up for a superplex and nails it. Orton with a headlock on the mat now. Reigns turns it around and goes for a big headlock of his own. Orton fights to his feet and hits a sideslam for a 2 count. Orton with another headlock now.

Reigns counters a move and pulls Orton into a big Samoan Drop. The referee counts as they're both down now. They get up and trade shots in the middle of the ring. Reigns with a headbutt. Reigns takes control and hits a big right hand off the ropes. Reigns with a clothesline in the corner and another big right hand. Reigns exits the ring and hits the big kick from the floor to Orton's head. Reigns sends Orton into the barrier. Reigns goes to do it again but Orton counters and Reigns hits hard. Orton with a shot into the ring post now. Orton brings Reigns back into the ring for a 2 count. They go back to the floor and Orton sends Reigns back into the post and steps. Orton poses and rolls Reigns back in at the 9 count. Reigns drops Orton on his way back in.

They go to the top with Reigns in control. He goes for a superplex but Orton headbutts him to the mat. Reigns crotches Orton after a big right hand. Reigns climbs back up and nails a big Samoan Drop from the second rope. Orton kicks out at 2. Reigns nails a Superman punch. Orton gets back up and blocks a spear, nailing a big powerslam out of nowhere. Orton with a 2 count. Orton poses to mostly boos from the crowd. Orton hits the second rope draping DDT. Orton gets the crowd hype and receives a bigger pop this time. Reigns blocks the RKO. Orton turns a Superman punch into another RKO out of nowhere. Reigns kicks out at 2.

Orton is upset now while Reigns is still laid out. Orton readies for a punt kick but Reigns sweeps his leg. Reigns runs the ropes and nails a spear for the win.

Winner: Roman Reigns

- After the match, Reigns hits the corner to celebrate. Cole calls this the biggest win of his career. JBL says it could be a turning point. We go to replays. Reigns continues posing for the fans as his music plays. We see Orton stumbling up the walk way as Reigns celebrates.

- We get a promo for tonight's main event.

WWE World Heavyweight Title Match: Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena

We go to the ring and out comes Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman to a mixed reaction. WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena is out next to another mixed reaction. Cena holds up his "never give up" towel before heading to the ring with his titles. Lesnar looks on.

Justin Roberts does official ring introductions as Lesnar and Cena stare each other down. The bell rings and they go at it. Cena rams Lesnar into the corner and they brawl to the mat. Lesnar pounds on Cena but Cena gets to his feet. They continue going at it. Lesnar hits a F5 out of nowhere very early in the match. Lesnar with a 2 count. Lesnar smiles.

We get dueling chants for Cena already. Lesnar drops Cena on his head with a big German suplex. Cena is out of it already, says Cole. Lesnar asks if Cena is going to learn the hard way. Lesnar grabs Cena by his head and nails another big German suplex. Lesnar with a big knee and more shots to Cena. Lesnar with another big suplex as we hear one kid yelling for Cena in the background. Cena takes Lesnar to the corner and unloads on him out of nowhere. Lesnar sends him to the mat easily and drives another knee to the ribs. Lesnar keeps Cena grounded in a hold now as we get some replays.

Lesnar continues to manhandle Cena and slams him back to the mat. Cena gasps for air from the knees to the ribs. Lesnar smiles as he backs Cena into the corner. Cena fights out but Lesnar cuts him off with another knee and sends him to the mat. Lesnar stands on Cena's hand now. Lesnar with four more nasty German suplexes, throwing Cena around like a rag-doll. Lesnar barely covers Cena for a 2 count. Lesnar with another big knee to the body. Lesnar picks Cena up and nails yet another German suplex. Lesnar motions to the referee to check on Cena and he does.

Lesnar drops Cena on his head with another German suplex. The referee checks on Cena. Lesnar laughs as Cena is saying something to the referee. Lesnar goes for another German but Cena fights out with elbows. Cena unloads and staggers Lesnar with a clothesline. Cena goes on but runs into a F5 attempt. Cena slides out and nails the Attitude Adjustment for a very close 2 count. Lesnar laughs again and gets up before Cena. Lesnar laughs, bounces around and tells Cena to bring it.

Cena finally gets up and charges but Lesnar tackles him. Lesnar unloads with tons of right hands. Lesnar hits another German but doesn't release and hits four total before dumping Cena on his head. Lesnar yells at Cena. JBL says the referee should step in now. Lesnar tells the referee to check on Cena but he's still in it. Lesnar nails another German and doesn't release, hitting three more total. Lesnar tells the referee to check on Cena again. Some fans are chanting "boring" now. Lesnar argues with the referee. Cena takes Lesnar's leg out and locks in the STF.

Lesnar counters the hold, breaks out and drops more bombs on Cena. Lesnar drops Cena with a F5 to win the WWE World Heavyweight Title.

Winner and New WWE World Heavyweight Champion: Brock Lesnar

- SummerSlam goes off the air with Lesnar and Heyman celebrating. Cole informs us Lesnar hit 16 suplexes on Cena.
