NXT Recap W/ Video: Neville Defends Against Breeze, Tag Tourney Continues, Bayley Vs. Banks

NXT opens with a recap of the number one contender match between Sami Zayn and Tyler Breeze from NXT Takeover. Breeze will be challenging Adrian Neville for the NXT Championship in the main event. Then, Bull Dempsey makes his entrance.

NXT Tag Team Championship Number One Contender Tournament
Bull Dempsey and Mojo Rawley vs. The Vaudevillains

Bull and English start off. Bull knocks English down. Mojo tags in. He locks in English's head. English takes Mojo to the corner to break the hold. He snapmares Mojo. English tosses Mojo into the corner. He locks Mojo's arm behind his back and tags in Gotch. Gotch goes to work on Mojo's arm. Mojo gets free and tosses Gotch to his corner. Bull tags in and attacks Gotch. He drops a pair of elbows on Gotch, and then elbows him in the chest. Bull drives his shoulder into Gotch's stomach, and Mojo tags himself in.

Bull asks Mojo what he's doing. Mojo charges Gotch in the corner, and Gotch moves. Mojo collides into the corner. Gotch picks Mojo up on his shoulders and tags in English. Gotch hits a rolling senton, and English lands a high angle senton bomb for the win.

Winners: The Vaudevillains

Bull attacks English after the match. He clotheslines Mojo and hits multiple mounted punches to his head. Bull exits the ring, but then gets back inside and hits the bulldozer.

Then, Bayley is backstage. Sasha Banks walks up and asks who she thinks she is. Sasha asks if she thinks she's going to be the new Women's champion before her. She tells Bayley to go back to la la land. Bayley says that tonight, as much as Sasha wants a hug, it's not going to be from her. Sasha says that Bayley isn't going to touch her. She is next in line to win the title, and Bayley is going to find that out tonight.

Back from commercial and Bayley makes her entrance.

NXT Women's Championship Number One Contender Match
Bayley vs. Sasha Banks

They get in each other's faces, and Banks shoves Bayley. Banks hits a shoulder tackle as the crowd chants "Bayley's gonna hug you!" Bayley hits a hip toss. Bayley goes for a backslide pin attempt. Sasha kicks out and takes Bayley to the mat. They exchange strikes to the head and pin attempts. Bayley locks Banks's head from the front. Banks gets free and hits a dropkick. Bayley comes back with a crossbody. Bayley tries for the belly to Bailey, but Banks backs to the corner. Banks falls towards the ropes, and Bayley pulls her back to the center of the ring. The same thing happens again, and Banks rolls outside for a breather as the ref starts the ten count.

Bayley rushes to the ropes to grab Banks, but Banks grabs her feet and trips her. Banks gets back inside and goes for the pin. Back from commercial and Banks hits Bayley in the chest. She kicks Bayley in the face, and then stretches her body, driving her boots into Bayley's spine. Sasha slams Bayley's head into the mat repeatedly. She stomps Bayley in the stomach. Banks hits a vertical suplex. She locks Bayley in a submission, and then slams her head to the mat. Bayley counters, knocking Banks to the mat. She rams into Banks in the corner.

Bayley charges, and Banks moves. Bayley collides with the corner. Banks tries to follow up, but Bayley explodes out of the corner with a clothesline. Banks slaps Bayley. She kicks Bayley's stomach, and then knees her in the mid section. Bayley falls outside. Banks tosses Bayley back inside. Banks approaches, and Bayley gets a quick roll up attempt. Banks hits a backstabber, and rolls through into a crossface. Bayley rolls to her back and pins Banks for the win.

Winner and number one contender: Bayley

Charlotte comes out on the stage and offers her hand to Bayley. She holds Bayley's arm in the air, and then holds her hand out again. Bayley shakes it.

Back from commercial and Sin Cara and Kalisto make their entrance.

Sin Cara and Kalisto vs. Buddy Murphy and Wesley Blake

Blake and Cara start off. They lock up. Blake locks in a side headlock, and follows up with a shoulder tackle. He sends Blake across the ring by his feet. Buddy and Kalisto tag in. Buddy locks in a side headlock. Kalisto counters into a headlock of his own. He shoulder tackles Buddy. Cara tags in, and the Luchadores double team Buddy. Cara slams Buddy into the corner. Kalisto tags in, and Buddy drops him with a right hand. Cara tags in. Cara takes control, taking both Wesley and Buddy out. Kalisto tags in. Cara lifts Blake up in powerbomb position. Kalisto missile dropkicks Blake, and Cara powerbombs him. Kalisto hits his finisher on Blake for the win.

Winners: Kalisto and Sin Cara

Then, Marcus Louis and Sylvester LeFort are backstage with a new interviewer. They're angry they weren't part of the tag tournament, and say it's a sham. They call out Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady and say they're a joke. They say they're going to sabotage the tournament.

Back from commercial and Tyler Breeze makes his entrance.

Adrian Neville (c) vs. Tyler Breeze

The two tie up. Breeze backs Neville to the corner. Neville backs Breeze up, and Breeze knees him in the stomach. Neville locks in Breeze's arm. Breeze shoves Neville, and Neville hits several kicks. Breeze charges Neville, and Neville puts his elbow up. Neville hits a chop and follows up with a pin attempt. Breeze gets sent outside. Neville leaps to the apron, and Breeze kicks his legs out, sending Neville crashing to the floor. Tyson Kidd walks out from the back to the commentary table. Breeze sends Neville back inside as Kidd stares on.

Back from commercial and Breeze is choking Neville with his boots. Kidd is shown sitting at commentary. The commentators try talking to him, but he just ignores them and continues to stare into the ring. Breeze stands on Neville's chest and head. He kicks Neville in the head and clubs him in the back. Breeze locks in Neville's head and drives him to the mat. Neville tries to get free, but Breeze drives him back down. Breeze clubs Neville in the back and tosses him outside. He follows and whips Neville into the steps.

Breeze rolls Neville back inside. He locks Neville's head back in and takes him to the mat again. Neville gets to his feet and tosses Breeze into the air. Neville follows up with an uppercut. He dropkicks Breeze in the side of the head. Breeze backdrops Neville to the apron. Neville snaps Breeze's head across the top rope. Neville tries for a springboard move, and Breeze dropkicks him in mid-air. Breeze drives Neville face-first into the center turnbuckle. Neville fires back with a Superkick out of nowhere. Neville goes up top for the red arrow.

Breeze pops up and hits Neville. He climbs up and tries for a superplex on Neville. Neville blocks and hits Breeze. Neville hits a sunset flip powerbomb. Breeze kicks out of a pin attempt. Neville goes up top for the red arrow, and Breeze rolls across the ring. Neville approaches Breeze, and Breeze puts his boot up. Breeze goes up top and hits a tornado DDT for a near pin fall. Breeze strikes Neville in the head. He charges and leaps at Neville. Neville catches him. They take turns striking each other.

Breeze goes for a suplex, and Neville flips through. Neville hits a German suplex for a near pin fall. Neville sends Breeze to the outside via a strike to the head. Neville launches himself through the ropes and takes Breeze out. Kidd gets down from commentary and goes to ringside. Neville Superkicks him. Neville picks Breeze up. Breeze knees him and sends him to the apron. Breeze gets inside. Neville kicks him in the head from the apron. He goes up top and tries for the red arrow, but Kidd grabs his foot.

Winner via DQ: Adrian Neville

Kidd pulls Breeze out of the ring as the crowd boos. He gets inside and hits Neville with multiple strikes to the head. Breeze gets inside and shoves Kidd. He yells at Kidd and asks him what he's doing. Breeze takes Kidd to the mat, and they roll around, punching each other in the face. Neville launches himself at them and attacks both Kidd and Breeze. Kidd holds Neville as Breeze kicks him. Sami Zayn runs down to the ring and tosses Breeze outside. He backdrops Kidd over the top rope and checks on Neville. Zayn hands Neville the belt, and they stare at Kidd and Breeze as the show ends.
