New Batista Trailer, Guardians, Former WWE Star In JWOWW'S Movie, Producer On Batista's Success

- A new trailer has been released for the up-and-coming film L.A. Slasher, which stars Batista and is directed by Martin Owen. Batista appears at the 0:40 mark. The film offers a tongue-in-cheek review of reality TV, and the undue admiration for people who are famous for simply being famous. Other stars that appear in the film include Danny Trejo, Mischa Barton, Andy Dick, Eric Roberts, Tori Black, Brooke Hogan, Marisa Lauren and Drake Bell, amongst others.

- Guardians of the Galaxy, which features Batista in a featured role, continues to do huge business and passed the $200 million mark last weekend. The movie has grossed $222.28 million domestically and $419 million worldwide.

- L.A. Slasher producer Jeffrey Wright commented on Batista's success following Guardians of the Galaxy hitting it big at the box office.

"We are very happy for Dave," said Wright. "He is fantastic and added a whole new layer to L.A. Slasher. We are glad to see that Guardians of the Galaxy was so well received. He deserves it."

- Former WWE star Giovanni "Romeo" Roselli is starring in the horror-comedy Jersey Shore Massacre from Executive Producer Jenni Farley, best known as JWOWW from the MTV hit series Jersey Shore. Written and directed by Paul Tarnopol, the film also stars Sal Governale (The Howard Stern Show), Richard Christy (The Howard Stern Show), Bigfoot (The Howard Stern Show) and Ron Jeremy. The world premiere of the movie is tonight at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City and on DirecTV. The film will begin a limited engagement on Friday, August 22nd at the Cobble Hill Cinema in Brooklyn, NY and at the Laemmle Theater in North Hollywood, CA. Jersey Shore Massacre will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, iTunes, Time Warner, Comcast and all other Video On Demand platforms next Tuesday, August 26th.
