Chris Jericho Talks Undertaker Getting Burned, Trying To Kiss 'Taker, HBK, WrestleMania, More
As noted over the weekend, WrestlingINC.com reader Scott H. attended Chris Jericho's one-man show in London, England last week and sent this report as well as the photo above. Here is the final set of highlights:
* Chris did an amazing entrance, with a great video package and then complete darkness before his multi coloured jacket appeared. The jacket cost $15,000 and Chris said that at WrestleMania 28, Brodus Clay and Christian were messing around with it backstage and just before he went out against CM Punk the jacket broke down on one side. Chris asked us to watch his entrance again and notice how he only shows the one side of the jacket to the camera.
* Jericho has so much respect for The Undertaker. He told the Elimination Chamber 2010 story of how 3 pyros went off in Taker's face within 20 seconds. Jericho asked Taker if he could continue the match for as long as it had been originally planned and Taker said, "yes kid, carry on." Chris said he could smell the burning of the Undertaker's skin. Jericho then told a funny story of a three hour drinking session in a Tokyo bar where he tried to kiss Taker on the mouth. After three hours, Taker let him kiss him on the cheek.
* He missed the WrestleMania 26 main event between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker because Paul McCartney was performing right across the road and he snuck out to go and see it.
* Jericho has a lot of respect for HBK and talked about their series together.
* His favourite matches are Randy Savage vs. Ricky Steamboat at WrestleMania 3, Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart at WrestleMania 10 and Shawn Michaels vs. Razor Ramon at WrestleMania 10. The best ever is HBK VS. 'Taker at WrestleMania 25.
* Jericho's two favorite moments at WrestleMania were WrestleMania 19 with HBK and WrestleMania 29 with Fandango. He said that he loved it because he helped get Fandango over and that he loved the fact that the next night on RAW Fandango was one of the most over wrestlers on the roster.
* When he came over in 1999 to WWE he was treated like the enemy. It took time for him to get peoples trust.
* Jericho talked about his working with Mike Tyson and Bob Barker when they guest hosted RAW. He said they were both amazing, and he did a wicked Tyson impression. He said Al Sharpton was not good as guest host on RAW.
Jericho was the best person I have ever seen live! He commanded the stage from the second he walked out, was down to earth and was funny and entertained us all night! He is the best in the world at what he does! You can check out more upcoming wrestler appearances at psievents.com.
