Ronda Rousey Reveals What She Told CM Punk, Says She's Open To Pro Wrestling
UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey took part in a media scrum at the UFC 171 weigh ins this past Friday and ended up talking some pro wrestling. Rousey was asked about CM Punk attending her fight against Sara McMann at UFC 170, and she talked about meeting him. She noted that her and her friends hung out with Punk and his crew, which "was all kinds of awesome."
"I was totally a dork and star struck," Rousey admitted. "I think the first thing I said to him was 'I love you,' which was terrible and not smooth at all. He was super cool."
She also said that she would be willing to train with Punk, although it would be difficult because he lives in Chicago while she's in L.A.
Rousey was also asked about the Instagram video she recently posted, which showed her practicing some pro wrestling moves with fellow UFC fighter Shayna Baszler, which is below. She noted that it was the first thing she did in the gym that morning, and they were talking about using it to start a "Four Horsewoman" storyline.
"It's fun, we're all big fans in the house and the 'Rowdy' in my name comes from 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper," Rousey said. "It's just for fun for us, but professionally, who knows? Me and all the girls are huge fans. If they were all down to do something, I'd probably be happy to jump in with them. But I have the most hectic schedule ever with the fights and the movies right now and adding a whole other career on top of that right now is a tall order."
