WWE NXT Recap: Tornado Tag Match, Colin Cassady Vs. Aiden English, Xavier Punished By Kane, More

This week's episode of NXT opens with Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton, and Alex Riley on commentary.

Summer Rae and Sasha Banks come down to the ring.

Summer Rae (with Sasha Banks) vs. Bayley (with Natalya)

Summer tries to get Bayley to hug her because they're both wearing headbands. Bayley acts like she's going to hug Summer, and instead rips her headband off and throws it on the mat. Summer tries to pick it up and Bayley gets a pin attempt. Summer tries to jump through the ropes to the outside, but Bayley grabs her by the legs. Summer holds on to the ropes and Bayley pulls her backwards onto the mat. Summer crawls to the corner. Bayley approaches and Summer kicks her in the face. Summer slams Bayley's head into the corner, knocking her headband off. She chokes Bayley with her boot. Bayley slams Summer's head into the top turnbuckle. Summer comes back with a kick to the mid section. She spikes Bayley's head to the mat.

Summer chokes Bayley on the center rope with her boot over the back of her head. Summer gets a two count. She wraps Bayley arms around her own throat like a straight jacket. Bayley gets out and knocks Summer down. She hits Summer with a leaping clothesline in the corner, and then a back elbow. Bayley goes up top and jumps off, hitting Summer with another back elbow for a two count. Summer goes for her heel kick, but Bayley dodges and lands a belly to belly for the win.

Winner: Bayley

Devin Taylor is shown backstage with Xavier Woods. Xavier goes yeeeeaaah, episode 200. I'm ready. Devin says that it's actually episode 203, and Xavier says he missed it. He says he'll be back at 300, and goes to leave. Devin stops him and says that Kane is on NXT and wants to address him. Xavier tells him that Truth told him about Kane, and that he can handle whatever they want to throw at him because (he opens his jacket and shows a Dragon Ball Z shirt) he's over 9000. He backs up slowly while drawing out 9000 as things go to commercial.

Back from commercial and Colin Cassady comes down to the ring angrily.

Colin Cassady vs. Aiden English

Cassady attacks English as soon as the bell rings. He hits multiple huge knees to the gut. He tosses English into the corner and hits strikes and elbows while spelling sawft. He clubs English in the back and gets a two count. Cassady whips English into the corner and leaps at him. English moves, and Cassady's head collides with the top turnbuckle. English hits him in the back of the head and drops multiple forearms on him. English locks in Cassady's head and arm from behind. Cassady fights out and hits a big back body drop. He hits English with a leaping knee to the head and then drops an elbow for a near pin fall. Cassady twice tries to grab English against the ropes, and the ref backs him up. He approaches again, and English kicks him in the leg. English hits the Director's Cut for the win.

Winner: Aiden English

Devin Taylor is backstage with Adrian Neville. She starts asking what it felt like to face Bo Dallas for the title two weeks ago, and Neville's phone rings. He pulls it out of his pocket and says hello, and then looks over and sees Tyler Breeze standing near him. He asks why Breeze is calling him if they're in the same room. Breeze says it's so that he doesn't have to look at Neville's ugo face while he talks to him and his eyeballs won't melt out of his head. Breeze says he's sorry for the Bo Dallas loss with a half smile on his face. They argue about Breeze causing the loss, and Breeze says that the NXT universe deserves a champ that's gorgeous, and that isn't Neville. Neville challenges him to a match next week.

Back from commercial and Xavier Woods comes down to the ring. Kane comes out and walks down to the ring. He says he's sure Xavier is proud of his recent successes on RAW, but he's not referring to his exploits in the ring, but his agitation behind the scenes. Specifically, he was instrumental to putting the petition together that brought Big Show back to RAW. He assures him that the authority hasn't forgotten about it. The authority was waiting for the appropriate time to punish him, which is now. He introduces Xavier's opponent: Alexander Rusev.

Xavier Woods vs. Alexander Rusev (with Lana)

Woods immediately attacks Rusev with forearms. Rusev shoves him. Woods ducks a pair of clothesline attempts, and Rusev hits a Samoan drop. Rusev drops several elbows and headbutts. He clamps down on Woods's trapezius. Woods fights out via shots to the stomach. He attacks Rusev with several right hands to the head. Woods hits a flying forearm and a dropkick. He hits Rusev with the Honor Roll and goes for Lost in the Woods, but Rusev counters and collides with Woods against the ropes. Rusev locks in the camel clutch, and Woods taps.

Winner: Alexander Rusev

Then, a WWE.com interview from last week is shown where Kofi Kingston is asked for his thoughts on losing to Rusev last week. Kofi says he didn't feel like himself, and he underestimated his opponent. He doesn't want to make excuses, but he took his eyes off the ball and ended up in the camel clutch. He says he won't underestimate him again, and challenges Rusev to a rematch.

Tyson Kidd vs. Baron Corbin

Kidd locks in a side headlock. Corbin shoves him off and hits a shoulder tackle. Kidd kicks him in the stomach. Corbin lands a back elbow. Corbin punches Kidd in the head. Kidd lands a chop. Corbin tosses him into the corner and punches him repeatedly in the stomach. Corbin connects with another shoulder tackle. He locks in Kidd's head from behind. Kidd fights out. Corbin charges him in the corner, and Kidd drop toe holds him into the center turnbuckle. Kidd kicks Corbin from the apron. He kicks Corbin in the legs and then dropkicks him in the head. Kidd places Corbin's head on the bottom rope, and then leaps over the ropes and drops a leg on the back of his head. Kidd goes up top. He hits Corbin with a neckbreaker for the win.

Winner: Tyson Kidd

Back from commercial and Hunico and Camacho come down to the ring on lowrider bicycles with gold rims.

Tornado Tag Match
The Ascension vs. Hunico and Camacho

Victor and Hunico start fighting, and Camacho and O'Brian start fighting. O'Brian kicks Camacho in one corner, and Hunico drives his shoulder into Victor's stomach in another. Camacho drives O'Brian into a corner and rams his shoulder into his gut. Hunico hits Victor with chops. O'Brian reverses and strikes Camacho to the mat in the corner. Hunico lands another chop and strikes Victor in the corner. Camacho hits O'Brian with chops. Camacho hits a belly to back Suplex on O'Brian. He clubs O'Brian in the back as Hunico keeps the attack up on Victor. O'Brian fights back with a right hand. O'Brian hits Camacho with a belly to back Suplex.

O'Brian clubs Camacho in the back. He kicks Camacho in the mat as Victor hits Hunico with strikes and elbows in the corner. O'Brian whips Camacho in the corner and charges. Camacho puts his boots up. Hunico goes for a cover on Victor. Victor kicks out, and Hunico uses his momentum to turn the kick out into a power bomb. Camacho drops a leg on Victor and goes for the pin, but O'Brian breaks it up. Hunico dropkicks O'Brian out of the ring. Victor rolls out the other side as things go to commercial.

Back from commercial and Camacho slams O'Brian into one of the bicycles. Camacho boots O'Brian in the chest, and the heels send the champs back in the ring. Both of the heels mount a member of the Ascension in the corner and deliver punches as the crowd counts in Spanish. Both members of the Ascension counter with powerbombs out of the corner, and both champs go for a pin attempt. Victor stomps on Hunico as O'Brian kicks Camacho in the head repeatedly. Victor hangs Hunico over the apron and hits several elbows to the head. O'Brian hangs Camacho over the apron as well, and slams his head down.

O'Brian tosses Camacho back in. Hunico gets his head slammed into the apron by Victor. Victor tosses him back inside as O'Brian hits Camacho with a flapjack. Hunico attacks O'Brian and Victor kicks Camacho. Victor and Camacho exchange strikes. O'Brian hits Hunico with clubbing blows to the back of the neck. Victor hits Camacho with a vertical Suplex. O'Brian whips Hunico into the corner. Then, Victor and O'Brian whip Camacho into Hunico. They both whip Camacho into another corner.

They try to whip Hunico into Camacho, but Camacho lifts Hunico up into the air and Hunico lands on the apron. O'Brian charges Camacho, and Camacho puts his boots up. Hunico goes up top and takes out Victor and O'Brian with a crossbody. Camacho clotheslines both of them at once. Hunico hits Victor with a dropkick, then Camacho hits O'Brian with one. Hunico takes both Victor and O'Brian out with a springboard moonsault, and both heels go for a pin attempt. Victor rolls out of the ring. Camacho picks O'Brian up on his shoulder. Hunico goes up top as Camacho hits a Samoan drop. Hunico lands a senton and goes for the pin, but Victor breaks it up.

The heels clothesline Victor over the top rope. Hunico kicks Victor through the ropes. Hunico holds the ropes open, and Camacho dives through at Victor, but Victor connects with an uppercut. O'Brian hits Hunico with a full Nelson slam. Then, the Ascension hit the Fall of Man on Hunico for the win.
