WWE Smackdown Recap With Video: Goldust And Cody Vs. The Wyatts, The Shield In Action, More

Smackdown opens up with a recap of the opening segment from RAW of Randy Orton cutting his victory promo, and John Cena challenging him to face Daniel Bryan. Then, highlights from Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton are shown.

Then, Orton comes down to the ring. He starts cutting one of his usual promos, and John Cena interrupts him and comes out. He grabs a mic, and Orton says he can feel the jealousy oozing out of his pores. He says that he took Cena's spotlight. Cena says he needs to relax and he wants to stop him from looking like a fool. He calls Orton's championship the richest in the WWE and says that Orton got his wish. Cena says he's failing to realize that everyone is watching him and asks Orton how he wants to be remembered.

Orton says he did what he had to do to win on Monday. Cena says Orton didn't win. Bryan won by disqualification. Cena says that he has been saying for weeks Orton takes the easy way out, and at TLC he actually showed up and proved he was a man for one day. However, the next night, Orton took the easy way out again. Orton starts to talk, and Bryan's music hits.

Bryan walks down to the ring. He picks up a mic and says that he gets why Orton did what he did on Monday and won't give him a rematch. It's because Orton is afraid that when Bryan finally beats him it's going to tear down the myth that he is better than everyone else. He says that Orton isn't better than him. Bryan says that Orton doesn't deserve to be called the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. He says that he's made peace with that, because when Cena gets his rematch he is going to beat Orton, and that Cena will be a man of his word and give him a fair shot at the title.

Orton says that the Authority won't give either or them a shot because they recognize his authority as the face of the WWE. Bryan questions that and asks the crowd. They chant no. The Shield's music hits and they walk down through the crowd. Orton leaves the ring and Bryan and Cena prepare for a fight.

CM Punk's music hits and he runs down to the ring and joins Cena and Bryan. Vickie Guerrero comes out and says that the Authority has asked her to announce the main event as CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and John Cena vs. The Shield.

Back from commercial and the Real Americans are in the ring. Michael Cole and JBL are on commentary.

Jack Swagger (with Antonio Cesaro) vs. Big E. Langston (with Mark Henry)

Langston takes control early on. Swagger comes back with a chop block to the knee. Swagger sends Langston into the corner and attacks. He hits Langston with a big clothesline. He locks in Langston's head from the front. Swagger locks in Langston's waist. Langston comes back with a belly to belly Suplex. Langston hits a clothesline. He rams his shoulder into Swagger's stomach in the corner. Langston hits a big splash for a two count. Cesaro gets up on the apron, and Henry attacks him. Langston hits a clothesline, and the Big Ending for the win.

Winner: Big E. Langston

Brie Bella (with Nikki Bella) vs. Tamina Snuka

AJ Lee is on commentary for this match. Brie kicks Snuka. She hits Snuka with a crossbody. Brie sends Snuka outside. Snuka gets back in and lands a body slam. She kicks Brie against the ropes. Snuka takes Brie outside. She rams Brie into the apron. Snuka sends Brie back inside and drops a knee. She locks in Brie's head from behind. Brie comes back and trips Snuka onto the ropes. She hits Snuka with a running knee to the face and a pair of dropkicks. She goes up top and hits Snuka with a missile dropkick. Snuka comes back with a super kick for a near pin fall. Snuka goes up top for the Superfly splash, but Brie counters into a roll up for the win.

Winner: Brie Bella

Brie shoves AJ Lee after the match, and the Bellas stand tall in the ring as things go to commercial.

Drew McIntyre (with Jinder Mahal) vs. Sin Cara

McIntyre gets sent out and Cara takes him out with a dive. Cara sends him back inside and hits a springboard cross body. McIntyre drops Cara onto the ropes. He stomps Cara on the mat. Cara comes back with a back elbow. He hits McIntyre with a hurricanrana. Cara lands his springboard back elbow. Cara charges McIntyre, and McIntyre backdrops him to the apron. Cara goes up top and hits his senton bomb for the win.

Winner: Sin Cara

Tensai vs. Brodus Clay

Tensai hits multiple strikes. He hits Clay with a huge clothesline. Tensai goes to land on Clay, but Clay moves. He attacks Tensai in the corner. Clay hits a splash, but Tensai kicks out. Clay lands another splash. Xavier Woods and the Funkadactyls come out on the ramp and distract Clay. Tensai rolls up Clay for the win.

Winner: Tensai

Clay attacks Tensai, and Woods comes in and attacks Clay. Clay escapes up the ramp and Woods stands in the ring with the Funkadactyls and Tensai.

Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. The Wyatt Family

Goldust and Rowan start off. They stare at each other. Goldust slaps the mask off of Rowan. Rowan hits a shoulder tackle. He clubs Goldust in the back. Goldust fights back with a knee to the gut. He hits Rowan with a right hand and knees him in the head. Goldust gets whipped into the corner. Harper tags in. Goldust slaps him in the face. Cody tags in. Harper backs him to the corner. Cody tries for a shoulder knockdown, but Harper doesn't move. Cody hits a clothesline. Goldust tags in, but Harper attacks him into the corner.

Harper hits Goldust in the gut. They exchange strikes. Harper lands a headbutt. Goldust lands several chops, but Harper takes him to his corner and tags in Rowan. Rowan hits a headbutt. He steps on Goldust's face. Rowan picks Goldust up on his shoulders, but Goldust gets down. Rowan locks in Goldust's head from the front. He punches Goldust in the face. Goldust comes back with several mule kicks. Rowan hits a high elbow and tags in Harper.

Harper hits an uppercut. He goes for a pair of clotheslines, which Goldust ducks. Goldust goes for a crossbody, but Harper moves and Goldust flies outside as things go to commercial. Back from commercial and Harper lands his gator death roll on Goldust. He keeps Goldust's head locked in. Goldust gets to his feet, but Harper attacks and tags in Rowan. Rowan lands a body slam. Rowan punches Goldust in the corner. Rowan squeezes Goldust's head in the corner and tosses him across the ring. He charges Goldust in the corner, but Goldust moves.

Goldust tries to tag in Cody, but Harper knocks Cody off the apron. Goldust hits Harper with the Cross Rhodes. Goldust tags in Cody, who has a hot tag. He takes it to Harper and hits a missile dropkick. He sends Rowan off the apron and hits Harper with the disaster kick. Cody goes up top and hits a moonsault, but Rowan breaks up the pin attempt. Goldust attacks Rowan, and Cody and Goldust clothesline him out of the ring. Cody gets sent out of the ring by Harper. Harper takes out Goldust on the outside with a big boot, and Bray sends Cody into the post on the outside. Harper takes Cody back inside the ring and hits the discus clothesline for the win.

Winners: The Wyatt Family

Bray gets in the ring after the match to attack Cody, but Daniel Bryan comes out with a chair and attacks Rowan and Harper on the ramp. He gets in the ring to attack Bray, and Harper takes his chair. Bryan kicks Harper and sends all three Wyatts out of the ring as the crowd chants yes.

Back from commercial and Damien Sandow is in the ring. He cuts a promo about next week's Christmas RAW and how he is going to personally cancel Christmas. Miz comes out on the ramp.

Damien Sandow vs. The Miz

Sandow hits clubbing blows and multiple knees to the gut. Miz lands a back elbow. He takes Sandow down and hits several clotheslines. Miz hits a neckbreaker. Miz kicks Sandow in the thigh. He locks in the Figure Four. Sandow gets to the rope and the ref breaks the hold. Sandow kicks Miz and rolls him up for the win.

Winner: Damien Sandow

Fandango (with Summer Rae) vs. Kofi Kingston

Fandango locks in a side headlock. He hits Kofi with a shoulder knockdown. Kofi lands a dropkick. Kofi tries for a monkey flip, but Fandango shoves him off and hits a clothesline. He elbows Kofi repeatedly on the chest. Fandango punches Kofi in the corner. They exchange strikes briefly. Fandango locks in Kofi's head from behind. Kofi gets to his feet, and Fandango slams his head to the mat. Fandango goes up top for a knee drop, but Kofi moves out of the way. Kofi hits a dropkick and a leaping clothesline. Kofi hits the boom drop and signals for Trouble in Paradise. Fandango ducks it, and Kofi hits a dropkick that sends Fandango outside. Kofi goes to the apron, and Fandango trips him. Fandango goes up top and hits his leg drop for the win.

Winner: Fandango

Then, Renee Young approaches Daniel Bryan backstage. She hurries off as the Wyatt Family approach and attack him. Bray drops to his knees and sings ring around the rosy as Harper and Rowan toss Bryan out of the building behind Bray and onto the concrete.

Back from commercial and Daniel Bryan is shown being checked on from the concrete outside.

Vickie Guerrero comes out before the main event and says that the show must go on despite what happened to Daniel Bryan.

The Shield vs. John Cena and CM Punk

Punk and Ambrose start off. They lock up and chain wrestle. Punk hits strikes to the mid section in the corner. Cena tags in and hits a dropkick. He punches Ambrose and hits a bulldog. Punk tags in and they double Suplex Ambrose. He body slams Ambrose. Punk goes up top and drops an elbow. Cena tags in as things go to commercial.

Back from commercial and Reigns is in control of Cena. Rollins tags in and punches Cena in the stomach. Ambrose tags in and chokes Cena using the middle rope as leverage. He drops an elbow on Cena. Cena fights out with a back Suplex. Reigns tags in and headbutts Cena. He punches Cena in the face and taunts Punk. Reigns hits a leaping punch. Rollins tags in. He hits Cena with head strikes and a flying strike in the corner. Rollins goes for another charge, but Cena moves. Ambrose tags in and stops Cena from getting to Punk.

He hits a dropkick to Cena against the ropes. Rollins tags in and hits Cena in the back. Rollins hits Punk off the apron. Rollins hit Cena with an enziguri. He sets Cena up top and hits a chop. Rollins climbs up for a superplex, but Cena lands headbutts that send Rollins off. Ambrose tags in and Cena hits a tornado DDT from up top. Rollins and Punk tag in, and Punk has the hot tag. He hits Rollins with a heel kick, and knocks Reigns off the apron. Punk hits a leaping high knee that sends Rollins out of the ring. Punk lands a dive and sends Rollins back inside. He hits Rollins with his corner running high knee and goes up top.

Punk hits the Macho Man elbow drop and signals for the GTS. Ambrose tries to get involved, and Punk attacks Ambrose and Rollins at the same time. Reigns breaks up the pin attempt. All three members of the Shield attack Punk, and the ref calls for the bell.

Winners via DQ: CM Punk and John Cena

Cena runs over to help Punk, but the numbers overcome him and Reigns eventually hits him with a spear. The Shield attack Punk further and send him from the ring. They triple power bomb Cena. Punk gets back in the ring and attacks the Shield again, but they overcome him. Big E. Langston's music hits and he runs down to the ring. He clears the Shield out of ring, but Reigns gets back in. Reigns and Langston stare each other down. Punk gets back in the ring with a chair, and Ambrose and Rollins pull Reigns out of the ring as the show ends.
