Rock News And Notes: New Movie Faring Poorly With Critics, Appearance On NBC Tonight

– The Rock's new movie, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, opens today in the U.S. and Canada. The movie released in several other countries on January 19th.

– The Rock will appear on NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight to promote the movie. Chappelle's Show co-creator Neal Brennan will also be on tonight's show performing stand-up.

– Reviews for Journey 2 have been on the negative end, with the film scoring a 43% on the movie aggregator site RottenTomatoes.com. As of this writing, 97 reviews were counted for the flick, of which 55 were negative and 42 were positive. Despite the low rating, it still scores higher than 12 Rounds — John Cena's highest rated movie on the site — which scored a 29%.
