Breaking News: CM Punk Out For At Least Three Months

Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that CM Punk will be out of action for at least three months due to his hip issue. Punk had injured his hip at the Bragging Rights pay-per-view last week and noted on his Twitter account that he underwent an MRI. Punk was then pulled from the next few WWE live events as a precaution.

The creative team has been told to come up with non-physical ideas for him until he's able to return. The report noted that a source indicated that Punk would undergo hip surgery within the next week. Punk could apparently work with the injury, however management wants him to take care of the problem since it could get worse if he doesn't.

As of last night, Punk wasn't scheduled for this week's TV tapings, but that could change. He will apparently remain in an on-screen role as he recovers from the injury.
