RAW Power Outage, Mysterio Getting Surgery, & More Notes
Just in case you are wondering if the lights-go-out incident on RAW was part of the storyline, well, it wasn't. WWE had no idea that the lights would go off during the opening segment and led for the first part of the show being shot in the dark. "This is very rare," said Director of Remote Technical Engineering Marty Pingree to WWE.COM. "This has never happened to this extent before." The alarm also went off which thankfully didn't cause chaos among the WWE fans at the Ford Center. By the time the second segment started, WWE and arena officials restored the power back. Longtime fans may remember a similar incident during the In Your House 'Beware Of Dog' PPV from South Carolina back in 1996. A thunderstorm caused the power to go out after the first match on the card and only came back up before the main event. The PPV was rescheduled again for two days later at a different location.
