WWE Pulls New Trick Williams Shirt From Online Store Following Fan Criticism
On Monday, WWE Shop released new merchandise for United States Champion Trick Williams, which featured his trademark Lemon Pepper Steppers. However, the graphics on the shirt also included lemon pepper wings surrounding Williams' shoe, which resulted in fan backlash online with many claiming the design to be racist.
Following the criticism, WWE made the decision to remove Williams' new merchandise from its shop by Tuesday morning.

In 2019, a similar situation took place when a shirt with racial undertones was created for former WWE star Jordan Myles, also known as ACH. Myles was livid about his merchandise and slammed WWE for releasing the shirt despite offering the company alternative options for the design of the apparel. Shortly after he aired his frustrations with WWE, Myles left the promotion. At this time, Williams hasn't commented on his new shirt being pulled from WWE Shop.
This past Friday on "WWE SmackDown," Williams won his Money In The Bank qualifier by defeating Randy Orton and Dragon Lee, with next month marking his first-ever appearance in the iconic ladder match. Along with Williams, Bron Breakker, Je'Von Evans and Penta have also qualified for Money In The Bank, with only two other spots available in the match.
Williams first won the United States Championship at WrestleMania 42 this past April, but his first reign with the title came to an end when he lost to Baron Corbin at SummerSlam. Earlier this month, Williams earned a title shot against Corbin after his friend Lil Yachty survived five minutes in the ring with "The Nomad," leading the former NXT Champion to regain the gold at Sunday Night's Main Event.
