Rob Van Dam is a former top wrestling star. Van Dam defeated John Cena at ECW One Night Stand in 2006 to win his first World Championship. Van Dam was drafted right after to WWE's new ECW brand where he was awarded the re-instated ECW World Heavyweight Championship. However, the title runs were short lived after Van Dam and fellow ECW performer Sabu were arrested on July 3, 2006. Immediately after the arrest, Van Dam dropped the WWE Championship to Edge and the ECW Championship to the Big Show. Van Dam's contract ran out with WWE on July 8, 2007 and he declined to re-sign with WWE. On September 5, 2007 his profile was removed from WWE.com.
