Former WWE Divas Champion Kaitlyn Announced As First Competitor In Mae Young Classic

Celeste Bonin, also known as Kaitlyn, left WWE in January 2014, but she is now making a return to the company. The 31-year-old emerged in WWE as a part of NXT's third season when it was a competition much like Tough Enough. She won her season of NXT and went on to become the WWE Divas Champion on January 14, 2013, almost one year before she left the company.

ESPN reports Kaitlyn will return to WWE as a participant in the Mae Young Classic. This will mark Kaityln's first match with WWE since she left the company four years ago.

"I am certainly nervous because the level of competition is so much higher and there are so many different women from around the world and they bring skill levels. But it's just so exciting," Kaitlyn told ESPN.

She also teased a WWE return in an interview with WSVN-TV entertainment reporter Chris Van Vliet earlier this month.

Kaitlyn started training in 2017 for a return and had her first match in years in February. She wasn't included in the first-ever Women's Royal Rumble match, but will be a part of this year's Mae Young Classic.

The 2018 edition of the Mae Young Classic is set to tape on August 8th and 9th at Full Sail University.
