Rousey, in a quick interview with TMZ Sports in Las Vegas after being inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame during International Fight Week, declared Cormier the "best fighter" in the UFC today. The two are both former Olympians, having represented the United States in wrestling and judo. Rousey was also asked who would win the upcoming fight between Cormier and Brock Lesnar. Rousey said that she probably won't watch the fight because she's friends with both men, and wouldn't pick a winner.

"I hate watching friends of mine fight, it's heart-wrenching," Rousey admitted.

Rousey was also asked about a possible WWE Hall of Fame induction now that she's in the UFC Hall of Fame. Rousey noted that she'll need to put in a lot more work for that.

- Bellator officials announced the date for the first semifinal in the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix, as light heavyweight champion Ryan Bader meets Matt Mitrione on Friday, October 12 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

The main card will air live on Paramount Network and also be available via stream on DAZN, which recently announced a partnership with the promotion. No other bouts have been confirmed for the card.

Bader advanced with a TKO victory in just 15 seconds over Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal in the quarterfinals. He captured the light heavyweight title from Phil Davis and is a former Ultimate Fighter winner. Mitrione knocked out Fedor Emelianenko in June and topped Roy Nelson the grand prix.

Emelianenko and Chael Sonnen are the other scheduled semifinal, but that bout has yet to be announced in regards to a date or venue for it to take place. The finals are likely headed for early 2019.

- Without mentioning Daniel Cormier, Jon Jones took a couple of shots at his long-time rival after Cormier won the heavyweight title at UFC 226 recently. The two have met twice before, with Jones earning the win both times. However, the second result was overturned to a no-contest when "Bones" failed a drug test.
