- Ryback had preliminary talks with the Combate Americas MMA promotion this past week. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter speculated that the talks won't go anywhere because Combate Americas doesn't pay big money to fighters and Ryback would want a significant amount to fight. Ryback announced back in late September that he had been in talks with the Bellator promotion. CEO Scott Coker confirmed the talks but said nothing was close to being signed. It was said then that the decision to fight would come down to money, not a desire to fight like CM Punk.

- The former Evan Bourne (Matt Sydal) is expected to be released from prison in Japan on December 6th, according to Japanese wrestling journalist Fumi Saito on Sean Waltman's X-Pac 1,2,360 show. He's been incarcerated since late September for possession of liquid cannabis after customs found the substance in a hidden pipe. Sydal was convicted on drug charges in mid-October and sentenced to prison but it appears he's coming home early.
