Michael Elgin Out Of NJPW Power Struggle Main Event

After suffering a fractured orbital bone at this past Sunday's King of Pro Wrestling event, Michael Elgin has now been removed from the main event of Power Struggle on November 5th.

As noted yesterday, Elgin posted a video update on his condition, and announced that he would be undergoing surgery to repair the fracture. He also noted that while he wanted to push through the injury, it was NJPW that pushed him to get checked out.

NJPW announced that former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal will be taking Elgin's place at Power Struggle, challenging Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship. This stems from Lethal pinning Naito at All-Star Extravaganza back on September 30th.

Below is the current card for Power Struggle:

2016 Junior Tag Team Tournament Finals

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs SANADA

NEVER Openweight Championship

Kastuyori Shibata (c) vs EVIL

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship

BUSHI (c) vs KUSHIDA

IWGP Tag Team Championship

The Guerrillas of Destiny (c) vs Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI

IWGP Intercontinental Championship

Tetsuya Naito (c) vs Jay Lethal
