Alberto Del Rio On What Started Knife Altercation, Paige's Second WWE Suspension, More

Recently on The Taz Show, former WWE Superstar, Alberto Del Rio, now known as Alberto El PatrĂ³n or Alberto El Presidente, talked about the physical altercation that resulted in him missing his first major professional wrestling booking in Mexico since his WWE departure. Also, the former 'ADR' discussed his girlfriend, Paige's second WWE Wellness Policy violation.

On the subject of the alleged attack by a knife-wielding assailant, the former WWE World Champion divulged that the incident involved the attacker disrespecting Paige.

"I'm fine. It was one of those situations where I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. [It was] an incident with somebody who disrespected my girl. And, of course, I had to do something. And then, the rest is history. Now, we're good. Like I said, with that [situation] behind [us], we are [ready] for bigger and better things."

With respect to Paige's recent 60-day suspension from WWE, 'The Pride of Mexico' stated that the suspension is "B.S." and insinuated that it may have been lodged to drive a wedge between the couple.

"All I can say is this is B.S., complete B.S. She didn't deserve that, but we're working on fixing it. And just like she said yesterday, as [Taz knows], 'same crap, different day'. That's never going to change."

Alberto added, "again, she doesn't deserve that. And, for whatever reason, I don't know why there are so many people just trying to break this [relationship]. It drives me crazy to see people trying to keep us apart or break this [relationship] between her and I. We're fine. We're happy and that's all that matters."
