Dean Ambrose Wrestles Dark Main Event, RAW Rating Down, AJ Styles Vs. John Cena, Fans On SmackDown

- Like Apollo Crews, John Cena and AJ Styles missed this week's SmackDown as they are on the current WWE tour of New Zealand and Australia. WWE hyped their SummerSlam match with this video package.

- As noted, Monday's WWE RAW drew 2.911 million viewers, down from last week's 3.338 million viewers and the lowest viewership for a non-holiday episode in the modern era. The final rating for the show was a 2.05, down from last week's 2.30 rating. This was the third-lowest RAW rating of 2016, next to the 2.03 rating from June 13th against the NBA Finals and the record-low 1.87 rating on July 4th.

- We noted before that Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley vs. Tyler Breeze and Fandango was taped for Main event after last night's WWE SmackDown in Bakersfield. The other post-SmackDown match saw WWE Champion Dean Ambrose defeat Bray Wyatt by disqualification in the dark main event. The two wrestled until Wyatt used a steel chair for the DQ. Ambrose came back and hit Dirty Deeds to end the show.
