DDP On David Arquette's Reaction When Told About WCW Title Win, Royal Rumble Appearance, DDP Yoga

Former WCW Champion Diamond Dallas Page joined us on this week's episode of the Wrestling Inc Podcast (which you can see a special edition of tonight following Smackdown), and talked about several stories from throughout his career. Among those included his memorable Royal Rumble appearance last year.

"I'm going to get one more shot in that ring, but I'm like 'What are they going to do with me?' I really thought about saying no, because I'm in such a good spot there, maybe I shouldn't go. The last thing I did, hitting Heath with the Diamond Cutter, I can walk away with that. Michael Hayes got on the phone with me and said he had some fun stuff for me, so I put my faith in Michael," Page said.

DDP said that although he's happy with the way that things went for him in the match, he thought it would go in a much different direction.

"Nobody knows coming in until they find out who they're working with," Page explained." Me, Boogeyman and Bubba are in the trailer, and I found out it was Cody, Fandango and Bray Wyatt (he was working with). All three of them were going to take the Diamond Cutter, and I'm like 'really? Awesome.' Michael's giving us all this stuff, and I was positive it was Randy (Orton) to take the RKO. When they said Rusev, I was like 'really? Awesome?' I like saying 'Hey Randy, you haven't killed me yet!'

The topic changed to David Arquette's controversial WCW Championship win, and how Page told Arquette he'd be winning.

"I tell Arquette he's going to be the champ tonight. He laughed. I said 'no seriously, they're going to put the strap on you.' He said 'No! They can't do that!' I told him that if he didn't want to do it, I'd tell them, but if he didn't, he wasn't doing anything with us that night. He said 'Are they really going to put the title on me?' and I said 'yes, they are.'

DDP also spoke about his wildly successful DDP Yoga program, specifically the DDP Yoga Now! App

"I set a goal for myself seven years ago that I was going to find a house that had a big living room and a big kitchen, and I was going to do live workouts from my house. Three years ago I bought that house. I decided to run my entire business out of my house so I had no overhead. People would come in at 10 o'clock, I didn't charge them anything. It started like that. I was going to start doing live workouts from here when I started to see workout companies going online next. I couldn't do it from my house, I had to create something amazing, that's never been done before," Page said.

Page and Steve Yu would help created the DDP Yoga Performance Center, which hosts workouts. He said the name was inspired by the WWE Performance Center.

"We built this app the same time we built the center. If you work out, you need the app, it costs nothing for the app. I dreamed about this place and it started materializing before my eyes," Page said.
